scan|design Foundation by Inger and Jens Bruun Scholarship
The Northwest Danish Foundation is delighted to announce that for the second year it will offer an annual scholarship of $5,000 for study in Denmark. This scholarship, the scan|design Foundation by Inger and Jens Bruun Scholarship, is made possible by a generous grant from the scan|design Foundation by Inger and Jens Bruun.The scan|design Foundation by Inger and Jens Bruun Scholarship will be given to one student each year. Competition for the scholarship is open to anyone who meets the following eligibility criteria: * Any person aged 18 or older who is currently a resident of the State of Washington or the State or Oregon OR who is a student currently registered in a school, university, or other recognized institution of learning in the State of Washington or the State of Oregon; * Any person aged 18 or older who wishes to study – whether that study is academic, vocational, or cultural/artistic – in Denmark.
Osteopathic Medical Student Scholarship Program
Eligibility: * Consideration is given to residents of the Pacific Northwest (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington), and to those who have lived, worked, or attended institutions of higher education in the Pacific Northwest. A commitment to practicing medicine in the Pacific Northwest is important. * Students must be enrolled in an American Osteopathic Association approved school. * Students in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th years of medical school will be eligible to receive scholarships. Applications for these scholarships should be made in students' 1st, 2nd or 3rd years.. * The Foundation anticipates merit scholarship recipients, upon completion of their medical education, will practice in the Pacific Northwest. * Scholarships are credited to the student's medical school business office account. * Selection criteria include prior and current academic work, professional and community involvement, intention to practice in the Pacific Northwest, and recommendations. * Scholarship awards are for one year. Recipients who reapply for a second or third scholarship are evaluated equally with all applicants. Prior recipients have no guarantee of continued support. * There are no restrictions to grant recipients based on race, color, sex, religion, age, physical or mental status, veteran's status, sexual orientation, national origin or any other status protected under applicable local, state or federal law. Students with permanent resident status in the United States are eligible for funding. * No employee, no member of the Board of Directors, and no relative of a current employee or current member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation will be eligible for a merit scholarship. * The Foundation reserves the right to request additional materials, references, letters of support, and such information necessary to evaluate the student's application. * Applications must be postmarked no later than midnight of the application deadline. Applications may be delivered to the Foundation office no later than 4:30 p.m. on the deadline date. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

For Native American residents of Oregon who are seeking vocational training or certification.
Future Mechanic Grant
Trade School Future is an organization dedicated to helping future mechanics reach their full potential. Our country needs skilled automotive workers and we want to help. Each semester, we’ll be awarding grants of various amounts to students who plan on attending a trade or vocational school with the aim of becoming a mechanic.
This scholarship is open to any prospective student in the United States who plans to enroll in a trade or vocational school, 2 or 4 year university, accredited community college or other automotive higher education institution within the next 12 months.
The applicant must complete a short essay (500 words or less) detailing why they are pursuing an automotive degree.
The applicant must provide a phone number and email address for correspondence about the grant award selection process.
The Future Mechanic Grant for the Fall/Winter Semester is a one-time financial gift of $1,000.
The grant will be awarded to the applicant who best answers the application criteria, including the short essay.
The award funds may be applied to any expenses associated with pursuing an automotive degree or certification.
This is a one-time financial gift and does not need to be paid back to Trade School Future.
Drone Technology College Scholarship
The Drone Technology College Scholarship will be awarded to current U.S. college or university undergraduates who demonstrate an interest in pushing the drone industry forward, as demonstrated in an essay of 750-1,000 words. Successful applicants will write thorough, thoughtful essays that dive deeply into the topic, and will have a strong letter of support. Two awards of $1,000 each will be given.
Asian Pacific Community Fund - Verizon Scholarship Awards Program
The Asian Pacific Community Fund partners with Verizon to financially assist students in their pursuit of higher education as they face the challenge of significantly rising costs of obtaining a college degree. These awards will support those who excel academically, are leaders amongst their peers and are making a positive impact in their communities.
Eligibility:
Students who are residents of California, Oregon or Washington OR students attending college in one of those states
High School Senior who plan to enroll as a 1st year college student in a U.S. accredited 4-year college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking student majoring in math, engineering, or a science (Please check website for complete listing of majors eligible for this scholarship)
Have a minimum cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0

Tripz.com is offering up to $1,000 Scholarship for students that can best exemplify in an essay how tourism positively impacts their community and what attracts travelers to the communities local sights, sounds and experiences.
Casey CEJT Scholarship
If you received foster care, guardianship, adoption or Continuing Education and Job Training (CEJT) services from Casey Family Programs in the states of:
Louisiana
Montana
North Dakota
Oklahoma
Oregon
South Dakota
Wyoming
and you are
Currently receiving CEJT funding; or
Starting or presently attending a technical school, college or university in pursuit of a certificate, associate’s or bachelor’s degree; or
Have completed your bachelor’s degree and are starting or presently pursuing a postgraduate degree
You may be eligible for the Casey Family Programs Continuing Education and Job Training (CEJT) Scholarship.

Abby's Closet Dreams Scholarship
Tell us who you are and who you're going to be. Abby's Closet invites you to apply for this award if you
are a female high school student graduating in 2018 from a school in Oregon or Washington and
planning on attending the 14th Annual Abby's Closet Prom Gown Giveaway (April 7-8, 2018) at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.The applicant that best embodies the spirit and mission of Abby's Closet will receive a $2,000 scholarship award and attend a private giveaway to select their perfect gown and accessories. A check will be written to the selected college/university/trade school after registration.

Rainbow City Band Scholarship
For students pursuing degrees in music or music education.
Northwest Residency: Applicants must be a resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington but may study elsewhere. Applicants are considered a resident of one of these states if they:
currently live within that state and have done so for at least three months prior to the application deadline; or
have lived within that state for at least one year at any time within the five years prior to the application deadline; or
have lived within that state for more than one year at any time and have been continuously enrolled in an accredited academic institution for the five years prior to the application deadline.

Preference is given to students who are self-identified LGBTQ, members of LGBTQ families, or straight allies who have been strongly supportive of the LGBTQ community. All scholarships emphasize demonstrated commitment to equality and civil rights for all people.

For students studying substance abuse counseling, addiction, and treatment.
