Couch Oil Cares Scholarship

Couch Oil Company of Durham will award four $1,000 scholarships to four high school seniors in a 12-county area who plan to attend a 4-year college or community college.

Janice McGraw Memorial Scholarship

* For student seeking a professional master's degree; * Must be a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association; * Demonstrate a need for financial assistance; * Have a sustained record of outstanding scholastic achievement; * Must be a full-time student currently enrolled in an accredited or developing occupational therapy educational program; * Must be a North Carolina resident. AOTF North Carolina Scholarship

Scholarships awarded to occupational therapy students at the associate level and occupational therapy students at the professional level and who are members of the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Association. Scholarship amount TBD. Please check website for possible changes in deadline of application.

Richard Goolsby Scholarship

Description: Provides scholarships to graduate and undergraduate students who have shown a career interest or demonstrated practical experience in the plastics industry. Minimum Eligibility: Be a full-time student in good academic standing Be majoring in or taking courses that would be beneficial to a career in the plastics industry. This includes but is not limited to chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and business administration. Be a rising college sophomore, junior or senior at a four-year college or two-year technical school or A graduate of a four-year college seeking to obtain a post-secondary graduate degree.

North Carolina League for Nursing Academic Scholarship Fund

Description: Provides scholarships to graduate students who are pursuing either a master's degree in nursing or a doctoral degree in nursing or a related discipline. Minimum Eligibility: Be a legal resident of North Carolina Have completed a minimum of six (6) semester hours of course work in their graduate program of study by the application deadline (courses in progress DO NOT meet this requirement) Be granted unconditional admission to a master’s degree program in nursing or a doctoral degree program in nursing or a related discipline and be classified as a graduate degree student by the college or university* *Master's program must be located in North Carolina; doctoral program may be outside of North Carolina

Kasie Ford Capling Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund

Description: Provides undergraduate scholarships to high school seniors graduating from Charlotte-Mecklenburg high schools (public or private) who have experienced the death of one or both parents. Minimum Eligibility: Be a graduating high school senior from a high school located in Mecklenburg County, NC (public or private) planning to enter a four-year degree program at an accredited institution Be a legal resident of Mecklenburg County, NC Has experienced the death of one or both parents

Spirit Square Center For Arts and Education Scholarship Fund

Description: Provide scholarships to undergraduate students with demonstrated aptitude and career potential in the arts. Minimum Eligibility: Have demonstrated talent and a declared major that indicate potential for a significant career contribution to the arts Be a rising college junior or senior in good academic standing with his or her institution

ASHRAE David C. J. Peters Scholarship

A one-year $5,000 scholarship available annually to a qualified undergraduate mechanical engineering student enrolled full-time in a four or five year bachelor degree program at one of the institutions listed below. The scholarship was created by Southland Industries in honor of David Peters, a tireless advocate of recruiting quality and ASHRAE member. California State University (CSU) at Chico San Diego Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Cal Maritime Long Beach Pennsylvania State University North Carolina State University Virginia Tech Clemson University University of Nebraska at Lincoln Omaha University of Nevada at Las Vegas Reno Oklahoma State University University of Texas at Austin Applicants must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a scale where 4.0 is the highest and/or a class standing of no less than the top 30% and submit the following on or before the application deadline: Official transcript of college grades (College freshmen whose grades are not available by the application deadline must submit an official transcript of high school grades and verification of enrollment in a post-secondary educational institution). Transcript must be mailed. Photocopies will not be accepted. Three signed letters of recommendation as follows: one from an instructor or faculty advisor, one from a current or past employer, and one from another character reference (other than a family member). In the case of institutions with an ASHRAE student branch, a letter from the faculty advisor of that branch may be one of the three letters of recommendation.

Richard L. Davis - Appalachian Scholarship

Undergraduate students enrolled at Appalachian State University - School of Business and Health. SE4A Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to financially assist students who are pursuing a career in gerontology or geriatrics. Selection of Recipient(s): To apply for the scholarship, a student must be a junior, senior or graduate student currently enrolled in an accredited university within the eight Southeastern states: Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, North and South Carolina. The following criteria will be used to rank nominations: 25 percent - Financial need 25 percent - Application aptness 10 percent - Writing skills 15 percent - Maintain 2.5 GPA 10 percent - Commitment to do volunteer work with elderly
