The foundation supports the needs of Christian missionary and relief work and provides financial assistance to Korean-American students who are legal residents of Georgia in their higher educational pursuits. CareerFitter’s 16th Annual Scholarship

Our scholarship fund was founded in 2003 and we have awarded 19 winners during this time. We are trusted by universities, career coaches and companies around the world, and have helped hundreds of students find direction in choosing a well-fitting career path. We understand the overwhelming number of career opportunities available to students and how difficult this can be to navigate. CareerFitter has tailored its career assessment tool to examine multiple factors of the person to ensure a range of considerations is made to find an appropriate career. For the 2019 award, we have doubled the value to $1000 to further our support of students and their education. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. A specific major is not required for this award, but the applicant should have above a 2.4 Grade Point Average.

Ty Cobb Educational Foundation

The Foundation was established by the late Tyrus R. Cobb for the purpose of assisting capable and deserving residents of Georgia who need financial assistance in completing their college education. Foundation scholarships are granted to qualified students who have completed at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours, with a 3.0 GPA or better, for the purpose of attending an accredited college or university full time. All scholarships are granted without subsequent obligation of the student to the Foundation; however, former recipients and others are urged to make contributions to the Ty Cobb Educational Foundation when circumstances permit.

Georgia Engineering Foundation Scholarship

For over 30 years, the Georgia Engineering Foundation has sponsored a program that awards college scholarships to worthy Georgia students who are preparing for a career in engineering or engineering technology. Since 1985, over 600 students have been awarded scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. nAll scholarships are competitively awarded based on the student’s demonstrated competence in academics, interest in developing a career in engineering, financial need, and school and community involvement. Eligibility Requirements To be eligible, a student must be interested in a career in engineering and: 1) A U. S. Citizen; 2) A resident of Georgia; and 3) Enrolled in an engineering or engineering technology ABET-accredited program leading to a B.S., or graduate degree.

NACA South Student Leadership Scholarships

Criteria Applicants must:  Be full-time, matriculated undergraduate students in good standing at the time of the application and during the semester in which the award is received  Demonstrate significant leadership skill and ability  Hold a significant leadership position on campus  Have made significant contributions via volunteer involvement, either on or off-campus; and,  Be enrolled in a college or university within the NACA® South Region. NACA® membership or involvement is not a criterion for selection. Application Process To apply, the following materials must be received in the NACA® Office no later than March 31:  A completed and signed application form  A least two letters of recommendation, which may be attached to the application form or forwarded separately to the NACA® Office. These letters should be from administrators or faculty who are well-acquainted with the applicant as a student leader, and should specify the applicant’s leadership positions, responsibilities, skills and ability, training and accomplishments  A resume or description of the applicant’s leadership activities, skills and ability, training and accomplishments  A verification from the college/university registrar confirming the applicant’s enrollment status

Atlanta Community Scholars

Minimum GPA: 2.5 Eligible Majors: Open Eligible Schools: Open Eligible Locations: Georgia Scholarship Detail: This scholarship is open to Atlanta Housing Authority residents who desire a post-secondary education. Download the application to see the list of communities served and further guidelines. Open to students entering or enrolled in a two-year technical school or four-year degree granting institution as a full-time student. Please check the website for the availability of the scholarship. Giving limited to Atlanta Housing Authority residents, GA.

Gannett Foundation Scholarship

Scholarship Value: $5,000 Classifications: Open Minimum GPA: 2.5 Eligible Majors: Open Eligible Schools: Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Spelman College Eligible Locations: Georgia Scholarship Detail: Every four years, one student will be chosen to receive the scholarship. The student must be from Georgia and they must be attending one of these Atlanta University Center institutions - Clark Atlanta, Morehouse, or Spelman College. HSF/ Procter & Gamble Company Scholarship

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and Procter & Gamble Company have partnered to provide financial resources to assist outstanding Latino undergraduates pursuing degrees in the STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The award amount is $2,500. Eligibility Requirements: * Be of Hispanic heritage * Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) * Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale * Must major in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) field * Must currently reside in one of the following locations: o Chicago, IL o Dallas, TX o Georgia o Houston, TX o Indiana o Kentucky o McAllen, TX o Miami, FL o New York o North Carolina o Ohio o San Antonio, TX o Los Angeles metropolitan area * Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME in a degree seeking program at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam * Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Airgas - Terry Jarvis Memorial Scholarship

The purpose for this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those individuals interested in pursuing a career in welding engineering. Eligibility The Airgas - Terry Jarvis Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student pursuing a minimum four-year bachelors degree in welding engineering (WE) or welding engineering technology (WET); however, priority will be given to welding engineering (WE) students interested in pursuing a career with an industrial gas or welding equipment distributor. All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements. Applicant must be a minimum of eighteen years of age. Applicant must have a minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Applicant must be a full-time student as defined by the academic institution. Applicant must have at least a 2.8 overall grade point average with a 3.0 grade point average in engineering courses. Financial need is not required; however, priority will be given to those individuals demonstrating a financial need. Priority will be given to those individuals who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career with an industrial gas or welding equipment distributor by prior work experience, clubs, organizations or extra-curricular activities. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States or Canada and plan to attend an academic institution located within the United States or Canada. Applicant must submit all required application information. Priority will be given to those individuals residing or attending school in the states of Alabama, Georgia or Florida. (A resident is defined as having lived in the specified area for a minimum of one year.) Applicants may reapply; however, persons who have received this award may reapply and may be granted the award for a maximum of four years. The award will be presented to individuals nationwide. Applicant does not have to be a member of the American Welding Society. The AWS Foundation does not discriminate by age, race, color, national origin, disability, creed, or gender. Selection Applicant will be chosen by the Named Scholarship Selection Committee comprised of five (5) members, which have been selected by the National Educational Scholarship Committee. Selection committee will determine award recipient in February of each year. Recipient will be announced at the National Awards Luncheon. Awards One $2,500 award will be given annually. No awards will be paid to the recipient. All awards are for tuition and books only, and will be paid directly to the academic institution by the AWS Foundation.
