APTRA-Clete Roberts/Kathryn Dettman Memorial Journalism Scholarship

Scholarship winners must exhibit enthusiasm, aptitude and a sense of commitment for a career in some aspect of broadcast news. Judges will take into consideration a combination of academic achievement, financial need and broadcast career goals that embody the spirit of Clete Roberts and Kathryn Dettman. All candidates must currently be attending a college or university in one of the 13 APTRA states and be involved in some aspect of broadcast news. To be eligible for APTRA Scholarships, applicants must be a college student currently enrolled at a college or university in one of the 13 APTRA states -- Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. (Incoming freshman and high school seniors are not eligible) Applicants should be pursuing a career in broadcast news. Students enrolled at schools outside the 13 APTRA states are not eligible. Applicants may provide links to YouTube or other sites with examples of their work. Text material may be attached to the email. McVaugh Educational Opportunity Scholarship

Awards up to $3,000 per child per school year to low-income families who reside in Arizona with children in grades K-12. Awards are on a first-come first-served basis; preference is given to students transferring from public schools or into private schools from home school or pre-K programs. Arizona Society of Practicing Accountants Scholarship Foundation, Inc.

The foundation awards scholarships for educational and charitable purposes to Arizona community college students. Limited to residents of Arizona.

AZHHA Education Foundation - Scholarship

The foundation provides grants and scholarships to residents of Arizona who are enrolled in accredited health care programs, with a focus on nursing.

B and L Charitable Foundation - Scholarship

The foundation supports the arts, higher education, and workforce development of nonprofit agencies. The foundation also supports study abroad for undergraduate and graduate students anywhere except Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand. Limited to residents of Paradise Valley, Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ and Boulder, CO.

SelectSpace Scholarship

Selectspace scholarship At SelectSpace Partitions, we are proud to offer a scholarship program for students in the process of pursuing a college degree. The awarded student will receive $500 to be used towards expenses for his or her degree. Who may apply? U.S. citizens accepted to or currently attending a college or university within the United States. The winner will be required to provide proof of acceptance to your college or university, or a college transcript. Deadline: Applications must be submitted via the web form by November 30. Next Steps: The award recipient will be notified of the selection on or around December 31. The scholarship award is to be used exclusively for school tuition or related expenses. A check for $500 will be made payable to the award recipient’s college or university. The recipient is expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.

CareerFitter’s 16th Annual Scholarship

Our scholarship fund was founded in 2003 and we have awarded 19 winners during this time. We are trusted by universities, career coaches and companies around the world, and have helped hundreds of students find direction in choosing a well-fitting career path. We understand the overwhelming number of career opportunities available to students and how difficult this can be to navigate. CareerFitter has tailored its career assessment tool to examine multiple factors of the person to ensure a range of considerations is made to find an appropriate career. For the 2019 award, we have doubled the value to $1000 to further our support of students and their education. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. A specific major is not required for this award, but the applicant should have above a 2.4 Grade Point Average.

Italian Catholic Federation First Year Scholarship

To apply, students must achieve a total cumulative GPA (3½ years) of at least 3.2 and meet one of the following: 1) Are Roman Catholic and of Italian Descent and live within the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Arizona, California, Illinois and Nevada, only where Branches of the Federation are established; or, 2) Are Roman Catholic but need not be of Italian Descent or live where Branches of the Federation are established if either Roman Catholic parent, guardian or grandparent is a member of the "Italian Catholic Federation." First year scholarships in the amount of $400 will be awarded to approximately 200 applicants. First year scholarship winners are eligible for second, third, and fourth year awards of $500, $600, and $1,000 respectively. Applications will be judged and evaluated on: Scholastic Achievement – TOTAL CUMULATIVE GPA (3½ years) and CLASS RANK Financial Need Leadership Role Faculty Recommendation and Character Reference Extracurricular Activities and Charitable Efforts Family Membership/Activities in the I.C.F. (if applicable)

Flinn Scholarship

Flinn Scholars must: * Rank in the top 5 percent of their graduating class; * Attain at least a 3.5 grade-point average; * Score a minimum 29 on the ACT or 1300 on the SAT I (critical reading and math sections only); * Participate and demonstrate leadership in a variety of extracurricular activities; * Be U.S. citizens; * Be residents of Arizona for the two years prior to entering the university.Merit, demonstrated by academic and personal achievement, is the only factor used to select Flinn Scholars.

Dominick's Steakhouse

Dominick’s Steakhouse will be offering a $1,000 scholarship to an applicant that can answer the question shown below to the best of their ability. To be entered to win the Dominick’s Steakhouse scholarship, just complete the following short answer question: What creates a memorable dining experience encompassing components of service, food atmosphere and the overall experience? Punctuation, grammar, clarity, and organization will be considered during the evaluation process, as well as the content. Students must complete the essay listed as part of the application detailing what creates a memorable dining experience encompassing components of service, food atmosphere and the overall experience. Dominick’s Steakhouse requests that the institution notify all parents of the Scholarship offering to assist in promoting applicants Application process opens April 1 and will close November 30. The scholarship will be awarded by December 30 and Dominick’s Steakhouse will notify the student and the school when awarded Currently residing as a United States citizen. All eligible participants must be a currently enrolled, full-time student. Only one entry per student.

Arrive Alive, Don't Drink & Drive! Scholarship Contest

At The Husband and Wife Law Team, we are committed to increasing awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence. This contest is open to all Arizona high school and college students.
