Activia Training Annual Scholarship Award

Activia Training are pleased to offer a $1,500 annual scholarship for college, university, high school or trade school students in the US. There is no specific course of study required, and you can use the money in whatever way that you feel benefits your studies the most. There will be two scholarship awards of $750 each year, awarded in November and May as follows: - The video winner will receive $500 - The essay format winner will receive $250 Furthermore, all entries adjudged to be of a suitable standard will be eligible for an “expenses award” as follows: - YouTube videos: $20 - Blog articles: $15 To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be at least 16 years of age and attending, or have secured a place, at a college, university, high school or trade school in the US. APTRA-Clete Roberts/Kathryn Dettman Memorial Journalism Scholarship

Scholarship winners must exhibit enthusiasm, aptitude and a sense of commitment for a career in some aspect of broadcast news. Judges will take into consideration a combination of academic achievement, financial need and broadcast career goals that embody the spirit of Clete Roberts and Kathryn Dettman. All candidates must currently be attending a college or university in one of the 13 APTRA states and be involved in some aspect of broadcast news. To be eligible for APTRA Scholarships, applicants must be a college student currently enrolled at a college or university in one of the 13 APTRA states -- Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. (Incoming freshman and high school seniors are not eligible) Applicants should be pursuing a career in broadcast news. Students enrolled at schools outside the 13 APTRA states are not eligible. Galvanize the Future: An Edgar K Schutz Memorial Scholarship

The American Galvanizers Association’s (AGA) Galvanize the Future: An Edgar K Schutz Memorial Scholarship essay contest was developed to assist future specifiers with the rising cost of a college education. The scholarship is available to full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university in North America studying architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, material science, or a related field. Three scholarships are awarded annually ($2,500; $1,500; and $1,000) for the top essays submitted. Any full- or part-time, undergraduate or graduate student of any age enrolled at an accredited college or university only in North America. High school students are not eligible to enter this contest. Qualifying majors include architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, material science, or other related field.

SelectSpace Scholarship

Selectspace scholarship At SelectSpace Partitions, we are proud to offer a scholarship program for students in the process of pursuing a college degree. The awarded student will receive $500 to be used towards expenses for his or her degree. Who may apply? U.S. citizens accepted to or currently attending a college or university within the United States. The winner will be required to provide proof of acceptance to your college or university, or a college transcript. Deadline: Applications must be submitted via the web form by November 30. Next Steps: The award recipient will be notified of the selection on or around December 31. The scholarship award is to be used exclusively for school tuition or related expenses. A check for $500 will be made payable to the award recipient’s college or university. The recipient is expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.

Chugach Heritage Foundation Scholarship Program

CHF offers scholarships to support students seeking college and university degrees (Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate), vocational certificates, and job training. Scholarship recipients are expected to maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Failure to maintain a 2.0 GPA will result in a loss of continued funding. Scholarship amounts are based on full time status as determined by your institution. Applicants enrolled at less then full time status will be awarded a prorated scholarship. Associate level and one or two year certificate seeking students are eligible for up to $4,800 annually. Junior and Senior level undergraduates earning their bachelors degree are eligible for $6,000 annually. Graduate level students seeking a Master's degree are eligible for up to $10,000 per academic year. The CHF Graduate Scholarship is a competitive scholarship.

Our scholarship fund was founded in 2003 and we have awarded 19 winners during this time. We are trusted by universities, career coaches and companies around the world, and have helped hundreds of students find direction in choosing a well-fitting career path. We understand the overwhelming number of career opportunities available to students and how difficult this can be to navigate. CareerFitter has tailored its career assessment tool to examine multiple factors of the person to ensure a range of considerations is made to find an appropriate career. For the 2019 award, we have doubled the value to $1000 to further our support of students and their education. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. A specific major is not required for this award, but the applicant should have above a 2.4 Grade Point Average.

Pride Foundation Regional Scholarships

For residents of areas outside of King County where Pride Foundation is working to enhance the leadership of the LGBTQ and straight-ally community: Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Eastern Washington, and Northwest/Southwest Washington.

The Alaska Performance Scholarship

The Alaska Performance Scholarship provides an opportunity for Alaska high school students to earn a scholarship to help cover the cost of an Alaska postsecondary education. Alaska high school students who take a more rigorous curriculum, get good grades, and score well on college placement or work ready exams, can earn an Alaska Performance Scholarship to qualified Alaska colleges, universities, or vocational/technical programs. Alaska residents who graduate from an Alaska high school (public, private, or home school) and meet the following requirements are eligible for an APS award: complete a rigorous high school curriculum (listed on APS Eligibility Progress Checklists) achieve a high school GPA of at least 2.5, or equivalent earn a minimum score on college or career readiness test (21 on the ACT, 1450 on the SAT), or achieve a combined score of at least 13 in all three WorkKeys tests, with no score lower than 4 enroll at least half time, remain in good standing, and complete the continuing eligibility requirements in an approved program at a participating Alaska institution have at least $500 of unmet cost of attendance, after using all other non-loan aid (e.g. federal grants or other scholarships)

Green Law Firm Nursing Home & Elderly Care

Attorney Bill Green and his team at Green Law Firm are committed to improving the quality of care in nursing homes. With over 26 years of experience serving the community and many years fighting against low standards of elderly care, Bill is dedicated to promoting passionate students who are focused on making care homes a ‘home’ for our senior population. We are pleased to be offering a $1500 nursing scholarship to high-achieving students who are committed to elderly care and pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. Our hope is to further their professional development and continued competence, allowing them to improve the quality of life for seniors at nursing homes. Applicants will be judged on the content of their application, the essay they provide and on their academic merits. Osteopathic Medical Student Scholarship Program

Eligibility: * Consideration is given to residents of the Pacific Northwest (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington), and to those who have lived, worked, or attended institutions of higher education in the Pacific Northwest. A commitment to practicing medicine in the Pacific Northwest is important. * Students must be enrolled in an American Osteopathic Association approved school. * Students in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th years of medical school will be eligible to receive scholarships. Applications for these scholarships should be made in students' 1st, 2nd or 3rd years.. * The Foundation anticipates merit scholarship recipients, upon completion of their medical education, will practice in the Pacific Northwest. * Scholarships are credited to the student's medical school business office account. * Selection criteria include prior and current academic work, professional and community involvement, intention to practice in the Pacific Northwest, and recommendations. * Scholarship awards are for one year. Recipients who reapply for a second or third scholarship are evaluated equally with all applicants. Prior recipients have no guarantee of continued support. * There are no restrictions to grant recipients based on race, color, sex, religion, age, physical or mental status, veteran's status, sexual orientation, national origin or any other status protected under applicable local, state or federal law. Students with permanent resident status in the United States are eligible for funding. * No employee, no member of the Board of Directors, and no relative of a current employee or current member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation will be eligible for a merit scholarship. * The Foundation reserves the right to request additional materials, references, letters of support, and such information necessary to evaluate the student's application. * Applications must be postmarked no later than midnight of the application deadline. Applications may be delivered to the Foundation office no later than 4:30 p.m. on the deadline date. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Future Mechanic Grant

Trade School Future is an organization dedicated to helping future mechanics reach their full potential. Our country needs skilled automotive workers and we want to help. Each semester, we’ll be awarding grants of various amounts to students who plan on attending a trade or vocational school with the aim of becoming a mechanic. This scholarship is open to any prospective student in the United States who plans to enroll in a trade or vocational school, 2 or 4 year university, accredited community college or other automotive higher education institution within the next 12 months. The applicant must complete a short essay (500 words or less) detailing why they are pursuing an automotive degree. The applicant must provide a phone number and email address for correspondence about the grant award selection process. The Future Mechanic Grant for the Fall/Winter Semester is a one-time financial gift of $1,000. The grant will be awarded to the applicant who best answers the application criteria, including the short essay. The award funds may be applied to any expenses associated with pursuing an automotive degree or certification. This is a one-time financial gift and does not need to be paid back to Trade School Future.

Drone Technology College Scholarship

The Drone Technology College Scholarship will be awarded to current U.S. college or university undergraduates who demonstrate an interest in pushing the drone industry forward, as demonstrated in an essay of 750-1,000 words. Successful applicants will write thorough, thoughtful essays that dive deeply into the topic, and will have a strong letter of support. Two awards of $1,000 each will be given.
