91st Annual Schubert Club Scholarship Competition

Preliminaries:   Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Macalester College in St. Paul
Finals:  March 29, 2014 at Landmark Center in St. Paul

Applications Deadline: January 13, 2014

The Schubert Club Student Scholarship Competition, held each spring, awards approximately $50,000 annually to young musicians. (An additional $10,000 is given away in other scholarship and grant programs.) Two cash prizes in each age and instrument category are awarded – $2000 and $1500 – to be used for further musical education. The Competition is named in memory of Bruce P. Carlson, executive director of The Schubert Club from 1968 to 2006.

Participants can download and mail, or electronically submit an application. Please read all the information carefully. Applications must be received complete with all required information and one $45 (per contestant) application fee. Payments and applications can be mailed to The Schubert Club offices or online with payment through PayPal. Deadline for receipt of applications and payment is Monday, January 13, 2014.

Incomplete applications, even if submitted by the deadline, will not be accepted. Some categories may fill up and be closed prior to the application deadline. Applicants will receive an email acknowledgment within a week of submitting their application.
