Scholarship Description

These fellowships are available to U.S. citizens who expect to complete the requirement for a bachelor of science degree in an aerospace-related discipline (aeronautical engineering, aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, computer engineering and science, control engineering, electrical engineering, engineering mathematics, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, petroleum engineering and systems engineering) within 1 to 2 years after applying.  They must be attending 1 of the following participating universities in Ohio: University of Akron, Case Western Reserve University, Cedarville College, Central State University, University of Cincinnati, Cleveland State University, University of Dayton, Marietta College, Miami University, Ohio Northern University, Ohio State University, Ohio University, University of Toledo, Wilberforce University, Wright State University or Youngstown State University.  Members of groups underrepresented in science and engineering (including women, minorities, and persons with disabilities) are particularly encouraged to apply.  Selection is based on academic record, recommendation, and a personal statement of career goal and anticipated benefits from the Space Grant program; the statement should also discuss plans for a research laboratory experience.
