Scholarship Description
The award is restricted to student members of the Society who are currently pursuing gradaute level studies in an accredited college or university. The selection committee will evaluate each application, applying necessary weights as indicated below: 40% on the basis of scholastic record. 30% on the basis of the research travel plan. 20% on the basis of letters of recommendation. 10% on the basis of community service activities. The recipient is obligated to provide to the Society and Ta Liang’s family a report of his/her accomplishments during the travel for which the award is granted. This report must be submitted within one year of receipt of the award.
