Scholarship Description
The American Legion Press Club of New Jersey makes available on an annual basis, a $500 cash scholarship to a student entering his or her freshman year in an accredited four year college. To be eligible one must be either the son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter of a current card holding member of The American Legion, Auxiliary, the survivor of one who was a member of either organization at the time of death, or a member of The Sons of The American Legion or Auxiliary Junior and starting college as a freshman, all of New Jersey. In addition, those residents of New Jersey, also entering his or her freshman year and who has graduated from either American Legion Jersey Boys State or the Auxiliary Girls State Program, shall be eligible. Students must be studying in the field of communications.
