The Chen Foundation Scholarship Program

Scholarship Description

The Chen Foundation is a private foundation focused on helping economically-challenged youth fulfill their dreams of obtaining a higher education. The scholarship is renewable, allowing scholarship recipients to receive an additional $2,000 award after their first quarter/semester of college if they maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher and active involvement in community service.

Eligibility:
  High school seniors who reside in California
  Plan to attend a California State University as a 1st year college student
  Plan to major in math, engineering, or a science
  Have a minimum cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0
  Have a household income at or below “Low Income” based on the California Low Income Level

The Chen Foundation Scholarship Program provides:
Five - $2,000 scholarship awards to incoming 1st year college students attending a California State University
Scholarship renewal (an additional $2,000) if the awardee maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA after their 1st quarter/semester of college and an active engagement in community service
