Scholarship Description
The Evelyn Prince Memorial Scholarship was established by friends and family of Prince, an avid golfer who twice participated in the state championships for Kalamazoo Central High School. She was a straight-A student and spent one summer as a congressional page in Washington D.C. It was her love of travel that took her to Wolfsburg, Germany as a 17-year-old foreign exchange student in 1999, where she died in an auto accident.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Female graduating high school senior who is a Kalamazoo County resident or attends a Kalamazoo County high school or a high school that participates in the Greater Kalamazoo High School Women’s Golf Tournament. Must have been a member of the high school varsity golf team for at least her junior and/or senior year; planning to pursue a four-year degree as a full-time student; minimum 2.5 GPA; demonstration of school and community involvement.
