This Public School Administration Scholarship has been established by the Supreme Council for individuals securing a Doctor’s Degree in Public School Administration. There should be evidence presented that without the financial assistance provided by the Scholarship the individual would not pursue further graduate studies. AWARDS: Two Scholarships. Each Scholarship is in the amount of $12,000 to be paid over a period of two years. $6,000 for each of two years. ELIGIBILITY: Individuals will be selected for the Scholarships who are in mid-career and who have demonstrated that they are committed to public school education. An M.A. or M.S. degree is a prerequisite. In the selection process, priority will be given to those individuals who have had some experience in a responsible administrative position. The applicants’ letters of recommendation should indicate integrity of character, integrity of purpose, and active participation in the social, civic and religious activities in their communities. Must have been an active leader in community affairs. Applicant must have planned work for doctor’s degree in a university that is accredited and has a reputation for outstanding graduate work in the field of Public School Administration. APPLICATION: Applications are accepted through March. Selection of the successful applicants and the announcement of their name will be made not later than APRIL. Final selection and appointments will be at the sole discretion and determination of the Sovereign Grand Commander.
