Scholarship Description
To provide financial assistance to individuals employed in long-term care in Florida who are interested in continuing their education. Amount Awarded: $500 Number Awarded: 1 or more each year. Duration: 1 year. Eligibility: This program is open to currently licensed RN’s, LPN’s, or CNA’s employed in the long-term care industry in Florida. RN’s must be currently accepted or enrolled in a baccalaureate or master’s degree program in nursing, gerontology program, undergraduate or graduate program in health care management, or nurse practitioner program. LPN’s must be currently accepted or enrolled in an RN program or undergraduate health care management program. CNA’s must be currently accepted or enrolled in an RN or LPN program. All applicants must have at least 2 years of employment in the long-term care field. They must be either a member FADONA/LTC or sponsored by a member. Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
