Scholarship Description
The Bruce Mangione Fund is an endowment of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities. This fund was established through memorial gifts in honor of Bruce Mangione, former President and owner of Harrisburg Steam Works. Bruce was involved in the development of the Hilton Harrisburg Hotel and Towers, on the Board of the Harristown Development Corporation, and committed to the vitality of downtown Harrisburg. Two $1,500 scholarships are available forchildren who attend school within the city of Harrisburg and for children of the employees of NRG Energy and Harrisburg Hilton & Towers.SELECTION CRITERIA:Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:1. Financial need2. Community involvement and work ethic3. Scholastic performance4. The City of Harrisburg School District or employees of NRG Energy and Harrisburg Hilton & Towers
