College Connection was founded by a group of parents who went through the college financial aid process with their children and saw a need to improve the process. We have been posting new free scholarships, monthly, since 1995. We also offer a customized quality scholarship search service for a small fee. The Financial Aid Database we use is one of the largest and up to date databases consisting of private sector awards provided by corporations, non profit agencies and associations that offer scholarships and grants.

What is a scholarship search service?

A scholarship search service is a time savings service. Services use large databases of scholarships that are more up to date than a book at a book store or the library. To make it clear you use a scholarship search service for two reasons:
1. save time
2. receive up to date scholarship information

Why a fee? I was told there are free search services on the Internet.

The free search services on the Internet are not really free. You pay with your privacy. They require your name, street address ( they need your city and state, but not the street) and phone number for only one reason. None of these are used as criteria to find you scholarships. They use this information to sell to companies that are looking for leads to sell college students numerous goods and services. The free search services on the Internet are making a lot of money selling college students personal information. If you use one of these services make sure you inquire about their "Privacy Policy". Also, look for hidden boxes that are already checked giving your approval to send your information to other companies. Make sure you un-check these boxes if your not interested in being solicited.

What is College Connections Privacy Policy?

At College Connection, we never sell or give ANY information to list companies or other organizations or individuals. We consider your information to be personal and we will keep your information private. The information you put on your application will only be used to find you scholarships, nothing more. Your information will never leave the offices of College Connection.

What is the fee to use College Connection Search Service?

Our fee is $39.95 if we are mailing the information in the United States. If we are mailing the information outside of the United States our fee is $49.95.

The $39.95 fee buys you:
1. privacy
2. more time savings ( the main reason you are using a search service)

Why does College Connection Search Service save more time than a free search service?

We use experienced scholarship search PEOPLE to match your information to scholarships, not computers. That means we only provide you with scholarships for which YOU qualify. Some of the free scholarship search services give you many scholarships that simply do not apply to you.

Also, we give you a personalized letter to each scholarship contact, that you just sign and send. Each letter includes your name, street address and phone number. With our service you do not spend time typing up letters to each scholarship contact.

Who can apply?

Scholarships are available for high school students, undergraduate, graduate and vocational or technical school students. Scholarships are also available for people of any age or international students.

Scholarships are available for 4-year colleges, 2-year colleges and vocational or technical schools.

Are the scholarships in your database awarded based on merit or financial need?

90% of the scholarships in our database are merit based (your planned major, academics, athletics, student activities, non student activities, parent activities, heritage, residence, enrollment status, etc).

10% of the scholarships in our database are need based (financial need).

Is there any truth in the statement that billions in Scholarships go unclaimed every year?

No, that is simply not true. Most of the scholarship programs are very competitive. This is just a scare tactic some search services use to entice people to use their service. We do not believe there is even one million in unclaimed scholarships on any given year.
