These programs are designed to train degree candidates how to create and design the products and processes that power our world. AFPE Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Program
Students who have completed at least three (3) semesters of graduate study toward the Ph.D. and who have no more than three (3) years remaining to obtain the Ph.D. degree in a graduate program in the pharmaceutical sciences administered by a U.S. college of pharmacy. Students enrolled in joint Pharm.D./Ph.D. programs are eligible to apply if they have completed the equivalent of three full semesters of graduate credit toward the Ph.D., and if the Ph.D. degree will be awarded within three (3) additional years. The applicant must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident. Number of awards and stipends: Up to eighty (80) Fellowships (renewals and new awards) are awarded annually. Fellowship stipends can range from $6,000 to $10,000 annually. The Fellowship stipend may be used for any purpose decided by the awardee and college that will enable the student to make progress in their pursuit of the Ph.D. - e.g. student stipend, laboratory supplies, books, materials, travel, etc. None of the funds shall be used for indirect costs by the institution. No support is provided beyond a maximum of three years. The number of AFPE Pre-doctoral Fellowships awarded each year depends on the availability of funds.
Betty Shanahan Scholarship
The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to women admitted to accredited baccalaureate or graduate programs, in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science.
A one-time only graduate student scholarship to recognize SWE's Executive Director & CEO Betty Shanahan's outstanding accomplishment over 10 year's of service. SWE membership required. Amount: TBD

US Citizenship & SWE membership required. Leadership roles outside of academics and involvement in engineering professional organizations, discipline related internships, presentation skills. Recipients willing to intern at GE. 20 @ $5,000.

Awarded once per renewal cycle. 1 @ $7,000 Renewable 5 yr. max.
Open to Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, Senior students. All Engineering majors.

Ada I. Pressman Memorial Scholarship
SWE Scholarships support women pursuing ABET-accredited baccalaureate or graduate programs in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science in the United States and Mexico.
US citizenship required. Availability dependent upon renewals. Open to Sophomore, Junior, Senior and Graduate students.

NASF Scholarships
NASF's educational foundation remains committed to helping undergraduate and graduate students interested in studying chemical engineering, material science or engineering, mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, environmental engineering or chemistry.
Scholarships to college juniors, seniors and graduate students are offered in the amount of $1,500. Candidates must demonstrate academic achievement and involvement in extracurricular activities.
Is there a minimum GPA requirement?
Yes, for undergraduate applicant, GPA should be 3.0 or
above; for graduate applicant, GPA should be 3.3 or
above.
Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program
The Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program (WU Scholars) is a program designed to support young people and their efforts to pursue a post-secondary education.
Selected scholarship recipients will receive USD $2,500 each to contribute toward tuition or school fees at an accredited post-secondary institution and will be selected based on criteria relating to the program's three pillars: Perseverance, Aspiration, and Community.
To be eligible, students must be seeking an undergraduate degree in one of the following categories: science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and business/entrepreneurship.
The application, which requires a letter of recommendation and an academic transcript, opens Wednesday March 8th. The application deadline is Wednesday, April 12 at noon Eastern Standard Time.

EPA Tribal Lands Environmental Science Scholarship
Awarded to college students pursuing academic programs in the following: Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, Toxicology, Environmental Economics, Chemical Engineering, Hydrology, Biochemistry, Entomology, and related environmental disciplines. The awards are $4,000 for college Junior, Senior and Graduate students enrolled full-time at an accredited institution. Students must reapply each year as awards are not renewable. Requirements: 1. Applicant must major in one of the disciplines listed above. 2. Applicant must be a full-time Junior or Senior (12 hours/semester or quarter) or graduate (9 hours/semester or quarter) student, with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
NDSEG Fellowship Program
The NDSEG Fellowship Program is open only to applicants who are citizens or nationals of the United States. Persons who hold permanent resident status are not eligible to apply. NDSEG Fellowships are intended for students at or near the beginning of their graduate studies in science or engineering. Applicants must receive or be on track to receive their baccalaureate degrees by the upcoming Fall. Preference to applicants pursuing doctoral study and research in aeronautical and astronautical engineering, biosciences (including toxicology), chemical engineering, chemistry, cognitive, neural and behavioral sciences, computer science, electrical engineering, geosciences, materials science and engineering, mathematics, mechanical engineering, naval architecture and ocean engineering, oceanography, and physics (includes optics). Recommended GPA is 3.0 and higher. Applications are encouraged from women, persons with disabilities and minorities, including ethnic minority groups such as American Indian, Black, Hispanic, Native Alaskan (Eskimo or Aleut) or Pacific Islander (Polynesian or Micronesian). NDSEG Fellows may choose as their fellowship institutions appropriate United States institutions of higher education offering advanced degrees in science or engineering. During part of their tenure, fellows may study or engage in research or field work away from their academic institutions if, in the judgment of the faculty, such arrangements further the fellow's education and contribute directly to the attainment of an advanced degree, and the fellow is officially enrolled and earning academic credit.
Office of Naval Research Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
Citizenship: Participants selected for support under the ONR Postdoctoral Fellowship Program must be citizens of the United States. Security Clearance: Participants must be eligible for a Department of Defense security clearance of Secret. In most cases, participants will be permitted to do research pending completion of the security clearance. All appointments are contingent upon Fellows obtaining the appropriate level of security clearance. Education and Experience: Before appointment, participants must present evidence of having received the Ph.D., Sc.D., or other earned doctoral degree recognized in U.S. academic circles as equivalent to the Ph.D. within seven years of the date of application, or must present acceptable evidence of having completed all formal academic requirements for one of these degrees. Prior Fellowships: A person who has received a prior postdoctoral fellowship at a navy laboratory under any program may not be eligible to participate in the ONR Postdoctoral Program at the same laboratory. Summer Fellowships
Candidate's qualifications: The award shall be made without regard to sex, citizenship, race or financial need. It shall be made to a graduate student pursuing work between the degrees of B.S. and Ph.D. in a college or university, and who will continue their studies after the summer period. A previous holder of an award is eligible for reappointment.
