Here are some of the Medical Practice Management scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program

The Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program (WU Scholars) is a program designed to support young people and their efforts to pursue a post-secondary education. Selected scholarship recipients will receive USD $2,500 each to contribute toward tuition or school fees at an accredited post-secondary institution and will be selected based on criteria relating to the program's three pillars: Perseverance, Aspiration, and Community. To be eligible, students must be seeking an undergraduate degree in one of the following categories: science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and business/entrepreneurship. The application, which requires a letter of recommendation and an academic transcript, opens Wednesday March 8th. The application deadline is Wednesday, April 12 at noon Eastern Standard Time. The AHIMA Foundation Board Chair’s Graduate Scholarship

For a graduate student who demonstrates leadership in HIM. Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 7. MGMA Midwest Section Scholarship

Individuals residing in MGMA Midwest section states (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin) who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program relevant to medical practice management. Scholarship Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program relevant to medical practice management, including public health, business administration, healthcare administration and other related areas.

The Precise Coding Services, Inc. Merit Scholarship

For a student who is enrolled in the Florida A&M HIA program Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 7. The Bachrach Family Scholarship for Excellence in Health Care Administration

Individuals enrolled in a graduate program in health care administration who maintain academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale) or better and whose career interests may lead them to a position in medical practice administration. All eligible applicants should apply, but preference will be given to applicants from a disadvantaged background and/or the first person in their family to pursue a graduate degree.

The Viola Griffin Memorial Scholarship

For students who are residents of Colorado Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Kevin L. Boyer M.D. Charitable Foundation,Inc

The Foundation will provide scholarships, endowments, and grants for high school seniors who have expressed specific interest in health care education. Interested students can apply for a foundation scholarship by writing a two page summary that includes: I. Career intentions and a summary of the applicant’s goals in pursuing a career in a health care profession. II. Events which have influenced the applicant’s future goals. III. Factors demonstrating aptitude for a career in health care. IV. Brief summary of the applicants financial need. V. Qualifications, resume, and class ranking. VI. Applicants personal information including names of parents, mailing address and reliable phone number. Applications are currently accepted from students attending one of the following local schools: Manatee, Southeast, Bayshore, Braden River, and Lakewood Ranch.

Geraldine Smother Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to applicants who have had to overcome challenges toward achieving their educational goals. Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. JustHomeMedical.com Health Care Leaders Scholarship

Joan G. Monson and Dean E. Monson Endowment

Requirements: College Attending State: Nebraska, USA GPA Min: 3.00 Max: 3.50 Specific Major: Medical Applicant must be one of the following: 1. A senior high school student who will be an incoming college freshman student with a minimum non-weighted cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, OR a minimum score of ACT 22 OR SAT [verbal / critical reading and math] 1030 OR GPA designated by specific endowment; 2. A College student presently enrolled in an accredited college / university who has maintained a "B" average [3.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale] during his / her college career OR GPA designated by specific scholarship; 3. A College student applying for graduate scholarship must have GPA of 3.50 on 4.00 scale or higher and enrolled in a US accredited college / university; 4. A student returning to accredited college / university after period of absence from school must have at least a GPA of 3.00 on 4.00 scale; 5. Enrolled for training in a technical school or any person returning to school after an absence to retrain job skills or obtain a degree. [Post secondary students at any educational level]; 6. Enrolled in an online course through an Accredited College / University / Vocational school or an accredited program by an accredited agency to be eligible for online tuition credit.

Available for an associate level applicant who demonstrates scholastic aptitude, desire to learn and grown and HIM Leadership Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1.
