Medical Practice Management Scholarships

Here are some of the Medical Practice Management scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program

The Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program (WU Scholars) is a program designed to support young people and their efforts to pursue a post-secondary education. Selected scholarship recipients will receive USD $2,500 each to contribute toward tuition or school fees at an accredited post-secondary institution and will be selected based on criteria relating to the program's three pillars: Perseverance, Aspiration, and Community. To be eligible, students must be seeking an undergraduate degree in one of the following categories: science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and business/entrepreneurship. The application, which requires a letter of recommendation and an academic transcript, opens Wednesday March 8th. The application deadline is Wednesday, April 12 at noon Eastern Standard Time. PGM'S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

PGM’s Scholarship Program is now open to receive applications. There will be two (2) $1,500 scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year. The first scholarship is open to undergraduate students pursuing a career in computer science and who demonstrate an interest in the health care industry. The second scholarship is open to graduate students entering into medical school or currently within their medical school program. The scholarship program here at PGM is competitive and will be based upon leadership, academics and achievements.

Danica and Pierson Kirk Memorial Scholarship

Available for an associate level applicant who demonstrates scholastic aptitude, desire to learn and grown and HIM Leadership Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 7. Submit a completed online application and all of its components Additional requirements are listed on the online scholarship application

The Dot Wagg Memorial Scholarship

For graduate students with a JD degree or working toward a JD degree Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 7. Edward J. Gerloff, FACMPE Scholarship

Applicants must be individuals pursuing relevant professional development through undergraduate or graduate education.

JustHomeMedical.com Health Care Leaders Scholarship

As part of our ongoing commitment to helping families maintain healthy lifestyles, we will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to one health care student. Best of all, we don’t require any boring essays or long application forms. To apply, simply make a video answering the question: "What are your long and short term goals as a future health care leader?" How to Apply: Make a video answering the question—What are your long and short term goals as a future health care leader? Videos must be under 3 minutes. They’ll be judged on creativity and thoughtfulness. Include our URL somewhere in your video and video description. Email a link to your video to scholarship@justhomemedical.com. In your email, include your full name, school year & what health care program you are/will be attending. All applications are due by December 31. Requirements: The winner must be enrolled in an accredited US school. The winner must be in some type of health care program, whether they’re studying to be a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, physical therapist, dentist or medical technician. Not sure if you qualify? The Council for Excellence in Education Chair's Graduate Scholarship

For a graduate student who demonstrates leadership and commitment to education in HIM. Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 7. MGMA/Academic Practice Assembly (APA) Schp

Applicants must be individuals who are members of the Academic Practice Assembly (APA) and who are pursuing relevant professional development through undergraduate or graduate education. It is expected that recipients remain APA members throughout the scholarship period.

Harry J. Harwick Scholarship

Applicants must be students in a graduate program accredited by the Accrediting Commission on Education for Health Services Administration or an undergraduate program which is a member of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration.

The AHIMA Foundation Board Chair’s Graduate Scholarship

For a graduate student who demonstrates leadership in HIM. Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Kathy McCaffrey Memorial Scholarship

Available for graduate level scholarship Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4.
