Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program

The Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program (WU Scholars) is a program designed to support young people and their efforts to pursue a post-secondary education. Selected scholarship recipients will receive USD $2,500 each to contribute toward tuition or school fees at an accredited post-secondary institution and will be selected based on criteria relating to the program's three pillars: Perseverance, Aspiration, and Community. To be eligible, students must be seeking an undergraduate degree in one of the following categories: science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and business/entrepreneurship. The application, which requires a letter of recommendation and an academic transcript, opens Wednesday March 8th. The application deadline is Wednesday, April 12 at noon Eastern Standard Time. PGM'S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

PGM’s Scholarship Program is now open to receive applications. There will be two (2) $1,500 scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year. The first scholarship is open to undergraduate students pursuing a career in computer science and who demonstrate an interest in the health care industry. The second scholarship is open to graduate students entering into medical school or currently within their medical school program. The scholarship program here at PGM is competitive and will be based upon leadership, academics and achievements.

As part of our ongoing commitment to helping families maintain healthy lifestyles, we will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to one health care student. Best of all, we don’t require any boring essays or long application forms. To apply, simply make a video answering the question: "What are your long and short term goals as a future health care leader?" How to Apply: Make a video answering the question—What are your long and short term goals as a future health care leader? Videos must be under 3 minutes. They’ll be judged on creativity and thoughtfulness. Include our URL somewhere in your video and video description. Email a link to your video to scholarship@justhomemedical.com. In your email, include your full name, school year & what health care program you are/will be attending. All applications are due by December 31. Requirements: The winner must be enrolled in an accredited US school. The winner must be in some type of health care program, whether they’re studying to be a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, physical therapist, dentist or medical technician. Not sure if you qualify? Just email us at scholarship@justhomemedical.com. The winner must be a legal US resident. The winner cannot be an employee or relative of JustHomeMedical.com. Funds will be sent directly to the winner’s school. By applying, the winner grants us full permission to use their video on our site.

The Charlotte Lefert Memorial Endowed Scholarship

For applicants who have a commitment to the long-term and post-acute care sector Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 7. Submit a completed online application and all of its components Additional requirements are listed on the online scholarship application

Linda Culp Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Available for graduate level scholarship Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) 2. Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree 3. Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) 4. Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) 5. Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours 6. Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application 7. MGMA Midwest Section Scholarship

Individuals residing in MGMA Midwest section states (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin) who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program relevant to medical practice management. Scholarship Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program relevant to medical practice management, including public health, business administration, healthcare administration and other related areas.

AHIMA Merit Scholarships

One of the major initiatives of the AHIMA Foundation is to attract and support new talent in the health information management (HIM) industry by improving educational opportunities for current and future HIM professionals through scholarships. The AHIMA Foundation annually offers merit scholarships to currently enrolled outstanding undergraduates in HIM and health information technology (HIT) as well as those professionals pursuing master's or doctoral degrees in areas related to health information. There are four levels of scholarships offered: Associate's degree - $1,000 award for students pursuing a Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) accredited AA degree in HIM or HIT Bachelor's degree/Post-Baccalaureate certificate - $1,500 award for students pursuing a CAHIIM accredited BA/BS degree or a Post-Baccalaureate certificate in HIM or HIT Master's degree - $2,000 award for students pursuing a Master's degree in areas related to HIM or health informatics Doctoral degree - $2,500 award for students pursuing a doctoral degree in an area related to health information Eligibility To be eligible for a merit scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours towards pursuing a degree Completed 24 credit hours towards a degree (for graduate degree applicants, this can include undergraduate credit hours) Have at least six (6) credit hours remaining after the award date (after December 30) Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application Submit a completed online application and all of its components Additional requirements are listed on the online scholarship application

Kathy McCaffrey Memorial Scholarship

Available for graduate level scholarship Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Applicants must be individuals currently in medical practice management who are pursuing relevant professional development through undergraduate or graduate education.

Edgar J. Saux, FACMPE Scholarship

Applicants must be early career individuals currently in medical practice management who are pursuing relevant professional development through undergraduate or graduate education.

Edward J. Gerloff, FACMPE Scholarship

Applicants must be individuals pursuing relevant professional development through undergraduate or graduate education.
