Industrial Engineering Scholarships

Nemetschek Vectorworks values the different backgrounds and experiences of the next generation of designers. We want to reward talented students and support their studies. While we strive to provide funding to as many students as possible, only a limited amount of scholarships are issued each year.The scholarship supports the next generation of creative potential on two levels. Round one winners will move on to compete for the grand prize, The Richard Diehl Award, in round two. Plus, entering is simple.Submit your best work and answer three short questions by August 31, 2015

Criteria: US citizenship required, Under-represented groups preferred and willing to intern. 3.5 minimum GPA. Class: Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Graduate Major: AutoE, ChE, CprE, EE, IE, ME, MfgE, MSE

Criteria: Scholarship applicants must be seeking a Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing technology or integrated fg systems. Scholarship applicants must possess an overall minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 point scale. The scholarship can be used only as a credit toward books, fees, or tuition. When making the selection of recipients, the scholarship committee will give consideration to the following preferences: First preference - given to a scholarship applicant who is an active SME Student Chapter member, is an SME Member or is a child, grandchild, or step child of a registered SME member or student member. Second preference - given to a applicant who are residents of Iowa or Illinois and attending an Iowa or Illinois college or university. Third Preference - given to students who are residents of the state of Iowa or Illinois. Fourth preference - will be given to applicants who attend a college or university located in Iowa or Illinois.

Criteria: Applicant must be a full time student majoring in manufacturing or industrial engineering, or a closely related field, at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada. Applicant must have completed at least one PLTW class. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicant can attend a 2 or 4 year school Applicant can be a graduating High School senior or a current undergraduate a student.

Purpose To provide an incentive to engineering undergraduate students enrolled in ABET accredited engineering programs to choose nondestructive testing and evaluation as their field of specialization. The Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship is a monetary award. Eligibility Undergraduate students enrolled in an engineering program of an ABET accredited university at the time the application is submitted for this scholarship. Each potential candidate for this award must show their anticipated graduation date to be later that the date the award funds are to be distributed. Each potential candidate must also show an active interest in the field of nondestructive testing and evaluation. Method of Selection The University Programs Committee selects up to three $3,000 scholarships each year, pending merit and number of submissions. Form of Award $3,000 in funding and Certificate in Walnut Frame Materials Submitted * Materials must now be submitted electronically. Completed application form – signed by the Administrative Officer (department head or chairman), or his/her designee, of the program in which candidate is enrolled. Outline of student’s program of study; Official school transcript showing all completed coursework; if educational institution will submit electronically then have them submit the transcript to ASNT using the webpage for submission of application; if educational institution does not submit transcripts electronically then mail transcript to ASNT HQ. Three letters of recommendation, signed by separate faculty members; and, Student’s original essay describing how he/she envisions the role of NDE/NDT in his/her studies and career. ELIGIBILITY Nemetschek Vectorworks values the different backgrounds and experiences that comprise the next generation of designers. We strive to provide funding to as many students as possible through a variety of scholarship options; however, a limited number of scholarships are issued each year. The is designed to meet the needs and qualifications of a variety of students. At the time of submission, scholarship applicants must be: 1) enrolled or accepted for enrollment in undergraduate or graduate studies for six or more credits at an accredited college or university, and 2) pursuing a design-oriented degree. Such degrees include, but are not limited to, architecture, engineering, construction, environmental design, urban design, urban planning, interior design, graphic design, landscape architecture, landscape design, lighting design, industrial design, machine design, theater design, scenic design, event planning, exhibit design, and woodworking.

The purpose for this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those individuals interested in pursuing a career in welding engineering. Eligibility The Airgas ­ Jerry Baker Scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student pursuing a minimum four-year bachelors degree in welding engineering (WE) or welding engineering technology (WET); however, priority will be given to welding engineering (WE) students interested in pursuing a career with an industrial gas or welding equipment distributor. All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements. Applicant must be a minimum of eighteen years of age. Applicant must have a minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Applicant must be a full-time student as defined by the academic institution. Applicant must have at least a 2.8 overall grade point average with a 3.0 grade point average in engineering courses. Financial need is not required; however, priority will be given to those individuals demonstrating a financial need. Priority will be given to those individuals who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career with an industrial gas or welding equipment distributor by prior work experience, clubs, organizations or extra-curricular activities. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States or Canada and plan to attend an academic institution located within the United States or Canada. Applicant must submit all required application information. Priority will be given to those individuals residing or attending school in the states of Alabama, Georgia or Florida. (A resident is defined as having lived in the specified area for a minimum of one year.) Applicants may reapply; however, persons who have received this award may reapply and may be granted the award for a maximum of four years. The award will be presented to individuals nationwide. Applicant does not have to be a member of the American Welding Society. The AWS Foundation does not discriminate by age, race, color, national origin, disability, creed, or gender. Selection The recipient will be chosen by a Selection Committee comprised of five (5) members, selected by the Education Scholarship Committee. The Selection Committee will determine award recipient in February of each year. Recipient will be announced at the National Awards Luncheon. Awards One $2,500 award will be given annually. No recipient shall receive more than one AWS National Scholarship award per year. No awards will be paid to the recipient. All awards are for tuition and books only, and will be paid directly to the academic institution by the AWS Foundation.

Criteria: All applicants must be seeking an associate's degree, bachelor's degree or graduate degree in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering, engineering technology, or industrial technology at an accredited public or private college or university in Kansas. Scholarship applicants must possess an overall minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 point scale. When making the selection of recipients, the scholarship committee will give consideration to the following preferences: First preference will be given to scholarship applicants who are a child, grandchild, or relative of a current SME Wichita Chapter No. 52 member. Second preference will be given to scholarship applicants who reside within the state of Kansas. Third preference will be given to scholarship applicants who are planning to attend a college or university located in the state of Kansas

Criteria: All applicants must be seeking a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing technology or integrated manufacturing systems degree program. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. When making the selection of recipients, the scholarship committee will give consideration to the following preferences: First preference will be given to scholarship applicants who are residents of the state of Michigan. Second preference will be given to scholarship applicants who are seeking their education from a college or university in the state of Michigan.

With Internet marketing becoming more complex and challenging by the day, successful execution requires a solid education. As an industry leader, Straight North supports students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) disciplines. Through the Straight North STEM Scholarship, we award the winning student $1,000 to be used toward his or her degree. In addition, we award $250 book scholarships to the two runners-up.

1. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students in either a four-year college or a two-year technical program. 2. Applicants must be graduates of public or private high schools. Criteria: 1. Applicants must have a demonstrated or expressed interest in the plastics industry. 2. Applicants must be majoring in or taking courses that would be beneficial to a career in the plastics industry. This would include but is not limited to plastics engineering, polymer science, chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and business administration. 3. An applicant must be in good academic standing with his or her college. 4. Financial need of applicant will be considered.
