Regeneron STS is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science research competition for high school students. Started in 1942 as the Westinghouse Science Talent Search, Regeneron STS recognizes and empowers our nation’s most promising young scientists who are developing ideas that could solve society’s most urgent challenges. Each year, nearly 2,000 students enter the Regeneron STS, submitting original research in critically important scientific fields of study. Unique among high school competitions, the Regeneron STS focuses on identifying, inspiring, and engaging the nation’s most promising future leaders in STEM. Eligibility: Women of any nationality are eligible. Defense-related and post-doctoral research programs are not eligible. Members and employees of Zonta International or the Zonta International Foundation are also not eligible. Educational Institutions: Fellowship Poster Fellowship Description Be registered in an accredited Ph.D./doctoral program in a qualifying area of science or engineering closely related to advanced studies in aerospace-related science or aerospace-related engineering. A letter of acceptance or verification of enrollment must be submitted with the application. Demonstrate a superior academic record at a recognized university or college with accredited courses in aerospace-related studies as verified by transcripts and recommendations. Provide evidence of a well-defined research program in aerospace-related science or aerospace-related engineering as described in the application essay, research and publications. Clearly demonstrate the relationship of the research to aerospace and furnish verification of her research program through at least one of the reference letters required with the application [i.e. research supervisor or advisor must be one of the referees]. Applicant must be registered in a Ph.D./doctorate program by the time the Fellowship is awarded. Award: The Fellowship of US$6,000 may be used at any university or college offering accredited post-graduate courses and degrees. Students must be registered in a Ph.D./doctoral program when funds are received. Current fellows may apply to renew the Fellowship for a second year and will undergo the same application and evaluation procedures as first-time applicants.

The AFCEA Scholarship for Working Professionals will provide $1,500 to those students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree while employed in the science or technology disciplines directly related to the mission of AFCEA. Undergraduate candidates must be at least second-year students attending an accredited college or university in the United States. Graduate students must have completed at least two postgraduate-level classes prior to the deadline date. The scholarship is intended for students attending school on a part-time basis, whether at a two-year community college or accredited university institution. Part-time status will be defined as enrollment in at least two classes per semester with a declared major in a science or technology degree program. Students enrolled in online or distance-learning programs will be eligible, as long as all other criteria are met. Eligible students must also be currently employed (see above). Eligibility: Candidate must be a U.S. citizen, attending an accredited college or university in the United States as either a traditional or distance-learning student, and majoring in electrical, chemical, systems or aerospace engineering; mathematics; physics; technical management; computer information systems; computer science or related fields. Undergraduate applications will be accepted from sophomore, junior and senior students - minimum second-year students please. An overall GPA of 3.4 is required. Graduate applications will be accepted from students who have completed at least two postgraduate-level courses and are enrolled in an eligible degree-granting master's degree program. The Honor Certificate Award Program is designed to recognize ROTC cadet and midshipman achievement in leadership and academics. The award includes a framed parchment certificate with the honoree's name prominently inscribed and a ribbon bar. This program is separate and distinct from the AFCEA Scholarship Program, but an ROTC student may apply for and receive both. Recipients of the awards will be selected by individual Professors of Military Science, Naval Science, or Aerospace Studies in accordance with the appropriate Service Department Regulation. Each interested ROTC unit may make one Honor Award nomination annually. The Army, Navy/Marine Corps and Air Force ROTC units at an institution may each submit one nomination. Eligibility: Students receiving the ROTC Honor Certificate Award must be U.S. citizens and juniors preparing to enter their senior year (rising seniors) who are majoring in electronics, electrical, aerospace, or communications engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science or technology, information management systems or related technical disciplines. Scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded to ROTC students majoring in the following or C4I-related fields of electrical, computer, chemical, systems or aerospace engineering; electronics; computer science; physics; mathematics; science or mathematics education; technology management; or other technical fields at accredited degree-granting four-year colleges or universities in the United States. Majors directly related to the support of U.S. intelligence or national security enterprises with relevance to the mission of AFCEA will also be eligible. Candidates must be at least second-year college students, enrolled full time as sophomores or juniors at the time of application. Eligibility: Candidates must be nominated by the Professor of Military Science, Naval Science, Aerospace Studies or designated Commanding Officer as appropriate. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in ROTC, have good moral character, demonstrate academic excellence, exhibit the potential to serve as an officer in the U.S. Armed Forces, and have a financial need. In addition, applicants must provide two Letters of Recommendation from faculty in their field of study. An official transcript including all college-level study as well as courses in progress is also required. The WIA Foundation is pleased to provide scholarships to women interested in a career in the aerospace field to pursue higher education degrees in engineering, math or science. One or more awards will be given each year to a rising senior in college, to be applied during the upcoming academic year. To be eligible for the WIA Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must be interested in pursuing a career in the aerospace field and be a rising junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering, math or science. An applicant must have completed at least two and a half academic years of full-time college work at the time of application and must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States or its territories, and plan to be enrolled in the subsequent academic year. Each applicant must have a college grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must be female of any nationality.

The NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Committee is dedicated to promoting education and training as a means for business aviation schedulers and dispatchers to enhance their careers. To support this position, NBAA offers current and aspiring schedulers and dispatchers the opportunity to receive training awards. Scholarship recipients will be announced at the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference. Schedulers & Dispatchers Training Scholarship awards will be redeemable under the conditions established by NBAA and its donors, and applicants are limited to receiving one award per person every other year; i.e., recipients of the 2014 scholarship are not eligible to apply for the 2015 awards, but they will be eligible to apply again in subsequent years. Scholarship recipients must complete all professional/educational training by March, unless otherwise noted, or risk forfeit of the award.
