Accounting Scholarships

Here are some of the Accounting scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

KPMG Scholarships

In a continuing effort to support women's initiatives, KPMG is sponsoring three Women In Need scholarships. KPMG LLP, the audit, tax and advisory firm (www.us.kpmg.com), is the U.S. member firm of KPMG International. KPMG International's member firms have 113,000 professionals, including 6,800 partners, in 148 countries.

Michele L. McDonald Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the Albuquerque chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants in memory of one of their members. It was transferred to EFWA in 2006 to be administered through its scholarship program.Individuals eligible for this award will be women who are returning to college from the work force or after raising children. Scholarship recipients will be awarded $1,000 to begin their studies in pursuit of a college degree in accounting. Selection Criteria Commitment to the goal of pursuing a degree in accounting, including evidence of continued commitment after receiving the award; Aptitude for accounting and business; Clear evidence that the candidate has established goals and a plan for achieving those goals, both personal and professional; Financial need. Responsibilities of Recipients The scholarship recipient must provide proof of academic progress at the end of each semester or term. The recipient must also provide a written update for the committee at the end of her scholarship year on her progress toward her personal and professional goals, and the impact of the scholarship on her life. Finally, the recipient should prepare for the possibility of appearances at regional and national accounting conferences where she might be asked to make a presentation.

Accounting Club SCholarship

Applicant must be an undergraduate Accounting major with 3.0 or above GPA. Can be a full or part-time student, but must be a member of the Accounting Club. Statement of participation in Accounting Club must be included with application. (Contingent on funding)

Adams, Brown, Beran and Ball Certified Public Accountants Scholarship

1. Senior Accounting major or graduate student with accounting emphasis. 2. Minimum 3.0 overall GPA; minimum 3.2 GPA in accounting. 3. Desire to pursue career as CPA and/or work in field of public accounting.

Arthur E. Andersen Accounting Scholarship

1. Full-time senior who has completed at least 18 hours of accounting courses. 2. At least 3.0 GPA through the junior year and pursuing career in public accounting. 3. Indication of financial need.

BKD Accounting Education Fund

Preference given to full-time students majoring in accounting with a minimum 3.0 GPA in both their major and overall and are within one year of graduation. Students must also be eligible to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation.

Brungardt, Hower, Ward, Elliott and Pfeifer Accounting Scholarship

1. Applicant must be a full-time student pursuing a degree in Accounting.2. Applicant must be within one year of graduation and eligible to sit for CPA exam upon graduation.3. Applicant should have expressed a desire to work in the field of public accounting upon graduation.4. Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 overall GPA and a minimum 3.5 GPA overall in all accounting subjects.5. Potential for internship or part-time employment during school year for one or all recipients.

Dr. and Mrs. M. J. Little Accounting Scholarship

Eligibility: 1. Completion of at least 12 credit hours in accounting with"A" and "B" grades. 2. Overall GPA of 3.5 or better. 3. Declared Accounting major preparing for career as a CPA. 4. Awarded on basis of need, if possible.

Finance - Academic Opportunity Award

Scholarships are awarded to students in the Accounting, Economic and Finance areas of study. These awards are for incoming freshmen only.

High Plains Farm Credit Scholarship

Applicant must be a sophomore, junior or senior with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference given to students from western Kansas with a farm background. Two scholarships will be awarded. One for students enrolled in the Department of Agriculture and one for students majoring in Accounting, Finance, Management or Marketing.

Jack and Peggy McCullick Scholarship

Eligibility: 1. College of Business and Leadership majors in Management Information Systems, Accounting, and Finance classified as juniors or seniors. 2. 3.5 or above cumulative GPA (only FHSU GPA considered). 3. Declared College of Business and Leadership major.

Kennedy and Coe Accounting Scholarship

Eligibility: 1. Accounting major with junior, senior or master's standing. 2. Minimum 3.0 overall GPA; minimum 3.2 GPA in accounting. 3. Desire to pursue career in public accounting and/or as CPA.
