UMOS National Farmworker Jobs Program
Students enrolled in certificate and other short-term programs not covered by state and federal aid may qualify. Application Criteria: Over 18 and have worked on a farm during the past two years.
The purpose of the UMOS Jobs Program is to help families improve their economic wellbeing, education, health and housing situations so that they may better realize their potential.
NATAS-Upper Midwest Chapter Scholarship
The NATAS-Upper Midwest Chapter/Foundation offers $3,000 student scholarship grants to be used for tuition & books. We even pay the school directly so you don’t have to claim it as income for taxes!
Scholarships are open to high school and college/university students living or attending school in the five-state area served by the Upper Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa & western Wisconsin)
For consideration scholarship applicants must:
Submit completed online scholarship grant application form.
Submit completed relevant essay. College scholarships require an additional Video Link (YouTube, Vimeo, etc) of your best work. Time Limit: 15 minutes.
Submit a copy of your most recent high school/college transcript.
Letter or letters of recommendation from relevant faculty or advisors. Letters of recommendation can be accepted via email info@midwestemmys.org , providing it comes directly from the faculty or advisor’s school account. Hard copy letters should be signed and printed on letterhead paper.
Each scholarship requires the student to write a mandatory essay for the scholarships offered. Essays will be judged based on your ability to focus on the topic, answer the question and stay within the 450 word limit. We will also pay attention to spelling and grammar.
Pfister Journalism Scholarship
Open to high school seniors who have been accepted into an accredited post-secondary college or university for the fall.
Scholarship is open to high school students living or attending school in the five-state area served by the Upper Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa & western Wisconsin)

The Don Shelby Journalism Scholarship
Awarded to a student interested specifically in a broadcast or electronic news career.
Open to college/university students who have completed at least two years of school and majoring in electronic media are eligible. The grants will be used for tuition and fees.

The Ed Piette Leadership Scholarship
For students who have demonstrated leadership skills in their school or community and who are planning to seek careers in broadcasting or electronic media.

tpt Public Media Scholarship
The tpt Public Media Scholarship will be awarded to an individual who aspires to a career in Media, with an eye toward non-profit Public Media and public service. This is a time of dramatic change in Public Media, as it transitions from traditional Public TV and Radio to a world of integrated technologies and tremendous opportunities.

Tesoro Youth Leadership Awards
Tesoro Industries is providing twenty $2,500 college scholarships for outstanding young leaders. This new scholarship has been launched to encourage young scholars who are leading by example in their schools and communities.
A total of twenty (20) $2,500 scholarships will be awarded.
Eligibility requirements include high school seniors graduating in 2015 who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents of one of the following 19 states where Tesoro does business:
Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin or Wyoming
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or the equivalent
Financial need
Scholarship funds will be sent to the university or college where they recipients enrolls in August 2015.
The scholarship application will run Dec. 9, 2014 – February 28, 2015 and is available on the NSHSS Foundation website.
Scholarship award winners will be announced in May 2015.

WAI-Oshkosh Chapter Spirit of Flight Scholarship
The WAI-Oshkosh Chapter Spirit of Flight Scholarship is open to women of all ages who have already soloed and are working on their recreational, sport pilot, private pilot, or commercial certificate; instrument or multiengine rating; or CFI. Preference will be given to Wisconsin residents, but all who qualify are encouraged to apply. Funds will be paid to the flight school of your choice.
(Scholarship value $500)
Submission Requirements:
Applicants must be a member of Women in Aviation, International and may apply for no more than two scholarships. Internships are not included in the two per member scholarship limit. All application materials can be submitted in the same envelope. These requirements are the minimum for all scholarships unless otherwise indicated. Some scholarships may require additional information, please read the description thoroughly to make sure you meet all requirements.
For each scholarship include three stapled (no folders) complete application sets (one original and two copies) of the following information:

Two one-page recommendation letters (originals - no photocopies)
Typed, descriptive 500-word essay
Professional résumé
Copies of all aviation and medical certificates and the last three pages of your pilot logbook (if applicable)
