Star of Texas Technology Opportunity Grant

Available to high school seniors desiring to enroll in a technology program at a Texas community college, junior college, accredited vocational or trade school, college or university. Technology programs include but are not limited to semiconductor manufacturing, software devlopment, desktop publishing, e-commerce, graphic design, management information systems, computer programming and technology segments of other fields such as healthcare, construction and automotive. This scholarship was designed to give studentds with a grade average equal to or less than 90 the opportunity to receive a scholarship. Do not apply for this scholarship if you have a grade average greater than 90. An agriculture background or participation in an livestock show is not required for these scholarships. n order to be eligible for any STFR scholarship, the applicant must be a citizen of the United States, a resident of Texas, a resident of or attending high school in Bastrop, Bell, Blanco, Burleson, Burnet, Caldwell, Comal, Coryell, Fayette, Gillespie, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hays, Kendall, Lampasas, Llano, Lee, Milam, San Saba, Travis, Washington or Williamson County; and a graduating senior in the current spring semester or the most recent fall semester. An applicant who is related to a STFR director, staff member or scholarship committee volunteer within the first degree of consanguinity or affinity is NOT eligible for a STFR Scholarship.

Star of Texas Heritage Scholarship

Available to high school seniors actively involved in agriculture or home economics programs and desiring to attend a Texas college or university. The applicant must be in the top 25% of his/her graduating class, have scored at least 800 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT, have applied to a Texas college or university, have been a member Future Farmers of America, Future Homemakers of America or 4-H for two of his/her high school years, and have shown an agriculture or youth fair project in a local, regional or state-wide show. In order to be eligible for any STFR scholarship, the applicant must be a citizen of the United States, a resident of Texas, a resident of or attending high school in Bastrop, Bell, Blanco, Burleson, Burnet, Caldwell, Comal, Coryell, Fayette, Gillespie, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hays, Kendall, Lampasas, Llano, Lee, Milam, San Saba, Travis, Washington or Williamson County; and a graduating senior in the current spring semester or the most recent fall semester. Star of Texas Tomorrow Scholarship

Available to high school seniors desiring to attend a Texas college or university. The applicant must be in the top 25% of his/her graduating class, have scored at least 800 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT, and have applied to a Texas college or university.
