AGC of East Tennessee Scholarship
The AGC of East Tennessee Scholarship was established to provide assistance to students seeking a degree or certificate in a construction management or construction related engineering program. The goal of the AGC of East TN Scholarship Fund is to help prepare tomorrows constructors for the future. Eligibility: * Applicant must be enrolled in a regionally accredited, non-proprietary, technical, community or four year college/university earning a degree or certificate in construction or construction related field (i.e. architecture, construction management, building construction technology, plumbing, masonry and etc.) * Applicant must have a college grade point average of at least a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale The AGC of East TN Scholarship has an ongoing application process and accepts applications at any time. Mary Adams Scholarships
Must be a high school graduate. Must be an African American and resident of Hamilton County, Tennessee. Must apply in senior year of high school. Payment is made to the institution. Renewable for up to 4 years.
Cindy Monroe Values & Vision Scholarship
To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Thirty-One Gifts, the company’s philanthropic fund – Thirty-One Gives – established the Cindy Monroe Values & Vision Endowed Scholarship with a $31,000 investment. This fund will support the development of girls in the Chattanooga, TN, community where Founder & CEO Cindy Monroe was born and raised, and also where the business was founded. Each year, the Cindy Monroe Values & Vision Endowed Scholarship will honor a girl in the Chattanooga area who embodies Cindy Monroe’s core values of building relationships, leadership and community involvement. The Cindy Monroe Values & Vision Endowed Scholarship will be awarded annually to a girl in the greater Chattanooga area who shares Cindy’s passion for dreaming big and helping others.
Eligible candidates must be a high-school junior or senior girl attending a public or private school in Hamilton County, Tennessee. Eligible candidates must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better (based on a 4.0 scale) while in high school. Eligible candidates must plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year U.S. college or university as a full-time student beginning in the summer of fall immediately following high school graduation.
The total scholarship available is up to $12,400, in $3,100 increments over four years. Scholarship recipient will receive the renewable $3,100 grant for up to three additional years by providing a copy of the current college transcript each year and a copy of the academic schedule to ensure they maintain a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester, upon request by the Scholarship administrator.
Applications will be reviewed and scholarship will be awarded based on the following selection criteria:
Relationships (33.3%) – displays the ability to build strong and purposeful relationships with others
Leadership (33.3%) – leads by example both in and out of school
Community Service (33.3%) – is actively involved in addressing community issues through service

Cindy Monroe Values & Vision Scholarship
Each year, the Cindy Monroe Values & Vision Scholarship will honor a girl in the Chattanooga area who embodies Cindy Monroe’s core values of building relationships, leadership and community involvement. The chosen applicant will receive an annual $3,100 scholarship for four years, totaling $12,400 to support her college career.
This scholarship will be awarded based on the following criteria:
•• A girl who is a high school junior or senior from any public or private school located in Hamilton County, TN
•• Applicant must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better (based on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent while in high school
•• Applicant must attend an accredited two- or four-year U.S. college or university as a full-time student beginning in the summer or fall immediately following high school graduation
Scholarship recipients must be enrolled as a full-time student at the college or university of their choosing to receive their subsequent scholarship funds.
