The Linda Cowden Memorial Scholarship
The Linda Cowden Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Linda who died in July 2004 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the administrative assistant and liaison to area Deaf clubs for more than 10 years.
The Linda Cowden Memorial Scholarship is a scholarship of $1,000 that will be awarded to:
a Deaf or hard of hearing person who has been accepted into a program to continue his or her education past the high school level, academically, or vocationally or;
a hearing person who has been accepted into a program leading to a profession serving the Deaf or hard of hearing communities.
The applicants must live in one of the 16 counties of Tennessee that Bridges serves (Cheatham, Davidson, Dekalb, Dickson, Houston, Macon, Maury, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson, and Wilson Counties).
