Why do you want to study abroad with AFS-USA?
Describe any activities/clubs in which you have held a position of leadership or have demonstrated leadership skills. What leadership characteristics did you exhibit and what did you achieve or learn?
Studying abroad is a wonderfully rewarding experience. But, going to school and living with a host family in another country will be stressful at times and will push you outside your comfort zone. Which strategies will you use to navigate difficult situations while in a different cultural environment?
When you go on an AFS exchange, you will learn more about what it means to be a citizen of the world. Discuss how you view the responsibility of an AFS student as an ambassador while abroad and upon return to the United States.
Please contact the AFS-USA scholarships team at 1-800-AFS-INFO or email@example.com, or your local AFS representative, Kerri Forrest, at 803-814-5930 or charlestonAFS@gmail.com.
