Additional scholarships may be awarded to students, regardless of field of study, with preference given to those candidates whose programs of study are related to the water works industry. Students who are attending or have been accepted into appropriate college/university programs at the undergraduate level are eligible to apply. Applicants must be members of NEWWA. Applicants must reside in New England or attend a college/university in New England to qualify. ($1,500) – Civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a water operations or related science-program Students who are attending or have been accepted into appropriate college/university programs at the undergraduate level are eligible to apply. Selectspace scholarship At SelectSpace Partitions, we are proud to offer a scholarship program for students in the process of pursuing a college degree. The awarded student will receive $500 to be used towards expenses for his or her degree. Who may apply? U.S. citizens accepted to or currently attending a college or university within the United States. The winner will be required to provide proof of acceptance to your college or university, or a college transcript. Deadline: Applications must be submitted via the web form by November 30. Next Steps: The award recipient will be notified of the selection on or around December 31. The scholarship award is to be used exclusively for school tuition or related expenses. A check for $500 will be made payable to the award recipient’s college or university. The recipient is expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.

We understand the overwhelming number of career opportunities available to students and how difficult this can be to navigate. For the 2019 award, we have doubled the value to $1000 to further our support of students and their education. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. A specific major is not required for this award, but the applicant should have above a 2.4 Grade Point Average.

The Arthur E. Coia Scholarship & Education Fund is designed to provide financial aid to undergraduate, full-time, matriculating students of an accredited institution (college, university, or technical school). This award is renewable each year while attending an undergraduate college/university of your choice, conditioned on your meeting the academic criteria set forth by the Scholarship Committee. The scholarship is available to New England Laborers, their spouses, and their children. The Union member must be a member of an affiliated Local Union of the Laborers' International Union of North America from New England. New England includes the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. All materials will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee and evaluations will be based on scholastic merit, financial need and extra curricular accomplishments to date.

CRITERIA Graduate scholarships are awarded annually to individuals pursuing a master’s or doctorate degree in student personnel services or a related area. Applicants for graduate scholarships must: Have graduated from a four-year college or university with a minimum grade point average of 2.5; Be matriculated in a master’s or doctorate degree program in student personnel services or a related area, and provide proof of acceptance and matriculation into an accredited graduate school; and Have demonstrated experience and involvement in campus activities and be committed to pursuing a career as a campus activities professional. You must be a U.S. Citizen High school students are not eligible.

For CT, MA, ME, NH, RI and VT students. Scholarships are to be used for educational expenses, including tuition, books, fees or other related expenses.
