The Ed Johnson Memorial Scholarship Sponsored by Ohio FFA Foundation

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in agriculture, communication, education, business management, economics, international agriculture, finance, sales and marketing and science, engineering and related specialists except biochemistry, biological science, biotechnology and marine biology. Attendance at The Ohio State University and Ohio residency required. Must exhibit strong leadership skills, have participated in community service, have work experience in the field of agriculture and produce a statement of educational and career goals.AWARD: One scholarship at $1,000, non-renewable.

The Earl F. 'Doc' Kantner Scholarship Sponsored by Ohio FFA Foundation

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a two- or four-year degree in any area of agriculture. Must be resident of Ohio and plan to attend The Ohio State University. Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale required. Must exhibit strong leadership skills and have participated in community service.AWARD: One scholarship at $1,000, non-renewable.

MetLife Foundation Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in select areas of agriculture, agribusiness management, communications, education, journalism, extension, public relations, finance, economics, sales, marketing, engineering, mechanization, technology, plant pathology, plant/animal breeding and genetics, range/soil science or public service and administration in agriculture. Resident of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin or Wyoming required. No more than one scholarship per state.AWARD: 10 scholarships at $2,000 each, non-renewable.

Paradise Tomato Kitchens Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Pursuing a four-year degree in food science and technology. Must reside in and plan to attend a college or university in Indiana, Kentucky or Ohio. Preference given to applicants competing in state or national FFA sponsored events. Applicants must exhibit strong leadership skills and have work related experience in agriculture.AWARD: Three scholarships at $1,000 each, non-renewable.

Lindsay Donadio Memorial Scholarship

This fund was established by Lindsay’s loving family after a tragic automobile accident in 2007. Lindsay loved humor and making people laugh, and she was passionate about life and vocal music. She loved to perform, sing and dance. Lindsay’s spirit is kept alive through this scholarship for a student pursuing a career in the performing arts.

Clubs of America

Eligible students will: Write an essay of no fewer than 600 words about their career aspirations and how their current course load will help them achieve success in their careers. Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? Thinking outside the box is encouraged! Email their essay as a .doc or .pdf attachment to: scholarship@greatclubs.com YouTube submissions are optional, although not required. Video should be no longer than 5 minutes. (Essays submitted via YouTube must also be submitted in writing.)

HSF/Hormel Scholarship

Program Description:The HSF/Hormel Scholarship Program is a scholarship of $2,500 awarded for applicants interested in a career in the food industry.In addition, interested students can apply to be considered for a paid internship. Eligibility Requirements: * Be of Hispanic heritage * Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States with a valid Social Security Number at the time of application. All legal permanent residents must submit a copy of their valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) * Have a permanent address in one of the following Midwest states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin * Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale * Be a Junior with an intended graduation date between December and August * Be majoring in Accounting, Mechanical Engineering (includes Mechanical Technology), Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering/Technology (includes Industrial Management) Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration (includes Operations), Management, Agriculture Science/Agronomy (includes Agriculture Engineering, Agribusiness, Ag Economics, Food Service), Computer Science, Information Technology (IT/MIS) (includes Computer Information Systems), Zoology (includes Animal Science), Marketing (includes Professional Selling), Hospitality Administration (includes Hotel/Restaurant Management) or related majors * Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The Sophie and Henry Billys Scholarship

Awarded to a full time student who may not qualify for academic scholarships and who has overcome a major obstacle.For Jewish students in Greater Cleveland. Awards are available to both full-time students. Students are awarded up to a maximum of $4,000 per academic year in the form of loans and grants based on the total applicant pool, total need and total available funds.To be eligible for consideration for aid, a family's income should not exceed $85,000 annually. Exceptions to this rule are made in unique circumstances. Funds are distributed each August for the fall term. Students can apply once a year.

The Frank Joseph Garron Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to full-time graduate or undergraduate. (Tuition only.) Can be renewed in competition with others.For Jewish students in Greater Cleveland. Awards are available to full- time students. Students are awarded up to a maximum of $4,000 per academic year in the form of loans and grants based on the total applicant pool, total need and total available funds.To be eligible for consideration for aid, a family's income should not exceed $85,000 annually. Exceptions to this rule are made in unique circumstances. Funds are distributed each August for the fall term. Students can apply once a year.

The Eleanor Gerson Award

Awarded to needy students. Academic achievement and community involvement is considered.For Jewish students in Greater Cleveland. Awards are available to both full and part-time students. Students are awarded up to a maximum of $4,000 per academic year in the form of loans and grants based on the total applicant pool, total need and total available funds.To be eligible for consideration for aid, a family's income should not exceed $85,000 annually. Exceptions to this rule are made in unique circumstances. Funds are distributed each August for the fall term. Students can apply once a year.

The Solomon and Jennie Hurvitz Scholarship

Awarded to scholastically superior, unmarried Jewish student attending a secular college in Ohio.For Jewish students in Greater Cleveland. Awards are available to both full and part-time students. Students are awarded up to a maximum of $4,000 per academic year in the form of loans and grants based on the total applicant pool, total need and total available funds.

The Mrs. Bert Keller Award

Awarded to a freshman or graduate student pursuing a career in medicine.For Jewish students in Greater Cleveland. Awards are available to both full and part-time students. Students are awarded up to a maximum of $4,000 per academic year in the form of loans and grants based on the total applicant pool, total need and total available funds.To be eligible for consideration for aid, a family's income should not exceed $85,000 annually. Exceptions to this rule are made in unique circumstances. Funds are distributed each August for the fall term. Students can apply once a year.
