North Carolina Scholarships

Some states or counties have hundreds of scholarships for which you may qualify.

Clubs of America

Eligible students will: Write an essay of no fewer than 600 words about their career aspirations and how their current course load will help them achieve success in their careers. Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? Thinking outside the box is encouraged! Email their essay as a .doc or .pdf attachment to: scholarship@greatclubs.com YouTube submissions are optional, although not required. Video should be no longer than 5 minutes. (Essays submitted via YouTube must also be submitted in writing.)

Ruth Rabbe Hager Scholarship

Undergraduate members of chapters in Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia.  Initiated collegian or alumnae members of Kappa Alpha Theta in good standing with the Fraternity who will pursue an undergraduate degree during the next Academic Year. (New Members may apply, but should have signed Loyalty Pledge cards submitted to the Fraternity by the application deadline.)  Students who expect to have eligible academic expenses not funded by other scholarships or grants. Theta membership dues are not an eligible academic expense.  Applicants with applications and References’ recommendation forms submitted by the application deadline.

Chattooga Club Employee Scholarship Endowment Fund

The purpose of the Chattooga Club Employee Scholarship Endowment Fund is to encourage current Club employees to pursue their education and to assist them with the rising costs of higher education. ELIGIBILITY Up to three (3) one-time scholarships, each worth up to $2,000, are available this year. To be eligible to compete, you must be: (1) employed with the club as of the date of award; and (2) in at least your 2nd season of employment with the Club; and (3) a senior in a secondary school or doing equivalent work, or a secondary school graduate. Eligibility will be verified in August prior to making awards. The Community Foundation scholarships will be awarded without regard to age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliation, religious belief, or any other characteristic protected by law. In addition, applicants must demonstrate: Financial need (unless otherwise noted) Academic achievement or potential (based on class rank, GPA and SAT scores) A history of active participation in school activities, community service, extracurricular involvement, and/or work experience Strong moral character

Triangle Community Foundation Scholarship

Giving limited to Chatham, Durham, Orange, and Wake counties, NC.

Norah Morris Memorial Scholarship Endowment

A North Carolina individual entering college or continuing college education who has participated in equestrian activity.

J. K. Perry Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Students studying an agriculturally related field at a four-year college or university who will be juniors or seniors and have at least a "C" average during their freshman and sophomore years. (Applicants should be sophomores or juniors seeking funding for their junior or senior year.)

H. Lentis and Maude Penny Sorrell Scholarship Endowment

A student enrolled in the Brody School of Medicine who is doing a fellowship in pulmonary medicine or another closely related field.

Donald Patrick Darden Scholarship Endowment

Children or grandchildren of members of the North Carolina Highway Patrol attending East Carolina University. **PLEASE NOTE: Applicants should provide the name of the NCHP member to whom they are related as well as their relationship to that person along with their application.**

North Carolina Association of CPAs

For college accounting majors. Amount: $1,000 each, awarded annually at the discretion of the NC CPA Foundation. Requirements: Students must be residents of North Carolina; have completed at least one upper division accounting program in a North Carolina college or university; be at least a fifth semester (or equivalent) student; be enrolled in an accounting course at the time the scholarship is awarded; be sponsored by two accounting faculty members; have an overall and accounting GPA of at least 3.0; and submit a typed essay on Why I want to be a certified public accountant.

Activia Training Annual Scholarship Award

Activia Training are pleased to offer a $1,500 annual scholarship for college, university, high school or trade school students in the US. There is no specific course of study required, and you can use the money in whatever way that you feel benefits your studies the most. There will be two scholarship awards of $750 each year, awarded in November and May as follows: - The video winner will receive $500 - The essay format winner will receive $250 Furthermore, all entries adjudged to be of a suitable standard will be eligible for an “expenses award” as follows: - YouTube videos: $20 - Blog articles: $15 To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be at least 16 years of age and attending, or have secured a place, at a college, university, high school or trade school in the US. Student Scholarships

Awards or renews scholarships totaling over $70,000 each year to graduating seniors at AHS. The Foundation administers numerous scholarship funds, both endowed and annually funded, created by generous individuals from the community. We also assist students and their families by hosting financial aid workshops.
