Activia Training Annual Scholarship Award

Activia Training are pleased to offer a $1,500 annual scholarship for college, university, high school or trade school students in the US. There is no specific course of study required, and you can use the money in whatever way that you feel benefits your studies the most. There will be two scholarship awards of $750 each year, awarded in November and May as follows: - The video winner will receive $500 - The essay format winner will receive $250 Furthermore, all entries adjudged to be of a suitable standard will be eligible for an “expenses award” as follows: - YouTube videos: $20 - Blog articles: $15 To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be at least 16 years of age and attending, or have secured a place, at a college, university, high school or trade school in the US. $500 Nebraska High School Senior Scholarship

Are you interested in pursuing a career in the pet industry? Do you want to work in the field of animal health and nutrition? The companion animal (pet) industry is expanding rapidly all around the world. Career opportunities in animal health, animal nutrition, marketing, publishing, and pet food manufacturing are increasing every year. Oxbow Animal health will reward one Nebraska High School Senior with a strong interest in pursuing a career in the companion animal industry a $500 Scholarship to pursue their dreams. Scholarships are paid directly to the school in September. To Qualify: • Complete the application, available online at www.oxbowanimalhealth.com • Submit a résumé describing activities and job history • Provide two letters of reference • Be a high school senior graduating from a Nebraska high school • Plan to attend a college or university in the Fall Semester • Submit a 300-500 word essay explaining why you want to pursue a career in the pet industry or in the field of animal health

Colonel Theodore A. Leisen Memorial and Training Endowment Fund

The Nebraska Section established the Colonel Theodore A. Leisen Memorial and Training Endowment Fund in 1993 to encourage water industry professionals to obtain additional training and encourage graduate students to choose the water industry as their field of work. To help with expenses for any training seminar or workshop, including the Nebraska Section AWWA Annual Fall Conference. The section awards three $500 scholarships at its annual fall conference. Deadline for applications is September 1. Belles of the American Royal (BOTAR) Presidents’ Scholarship

Provides four AFA Leader and Academic Scholarships to female, Midwest agriculture students with a special interest in agriculture education . This scholarship provides a $3,200 academic tuition/fees scholarship, $1,000 registration fee for AFA Leaders Conference and the opportunity for the student to attend the BOTAR General Membership Meeting in January of her initial scholarship selection year. This scholarship is renewable up to three times if all scholarship requirements are fulfilled and at the discretion of the BOTAR committee. If a student receives this scholarship an additional three times, she will be asked to attend the BOTAR General Membership Meeting in her senior year as well, to share about her experiences. Students eligible to receive the AFA Leader and Academic Scholarship provided by BOTAR must: Be a female student pursuing a four-year degree in Agriculture Education or related field in the Midwest. Attend the BOTAR General Membership Meeting in January of her initial scholarship selection year. Meet all the AFA scholarship criteria and requirements listed above.

SelectSpace Scholarship

Selectspace scholarship At SelectSpace Partitions, we are proud to offer a scholarship program for students in the process of pursuing a college degree. The awarded student will receive $500 to be used towards expenses for his or her degree. Who may apply? U.S. citizens accepted to or currently attending a college or university within the United States. The winner will be required to provide proof of acceptance to your college or university, or a college transcript. Deadline: Applications must be submitted via the web form by November 30. Next Steps: The award recipient will be notified of the selection on or around December 31. The scholarship award is to be used exclusively for school tuition or related expenses. A check for $500 will be made payable to the award recipient’s college or university. The recipient is expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.

The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation College Scholarships

The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation provides scholarships for tuition and fees up to $3,200 per semester and a textbook allowance of $400 per semester for undergraduate students attending Nebraska public universities, colleges, or community colleges. These funds are available to the extent that tuition, fees and books are not already covered by other grants or scholarships. Limited to residents of Nebraska attending Nebraska public colleges or universities.

For the 2019 award, we have doubled the value to $1000 to further our support of students and their education. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. A specific major is not required for this award, but the applicant should have above a 2.4 Grade Point Average.

James M. Cox Foundation

Assisting needy children to become productive adults through scholarships. Application form not required. Initial approach: Letter The foundations giving activities include: $30,000 for 7 grants (high: $10,000; low: $5,000) $105,500 for 34 grants to individuals (high: $5,000; low: $1,000) Giving restricted to residents of eastern NE.

Byron and Bessie Wightman Memorial Scholarship

There will be two Scholarships for $1,500.00 each. These scholarships shall be $1,000.00 scholarships for the sophomore or junior year with an additional $500.00 to be available for said recipient in the following year, in the event the student has met the following criteria:Must have completed at least 30 hours of college without less than a 3.2 grade point average while attending any accredited four-year college within or outside the State of Nebraska.The scholarship shall be based upon both need and scholastic achievement, with factors to be considered as set forth below.At least one scholarship shall be awarded to a minority student.Preference shall be given to any student with (1) a demonstrated interest in teaching in Lexington's dual-language elementary program; (2) an interest in a career in public service with a demonstrated history of volunteerism; or (3) students who have received freshman Foundation ScholarshipsThe scholarship application deadline is June 30th each year and shall be awarded by July 20 for disbursement in the fall of that year and each subsequent year.Applications may be made after completion of freshman or sophomore year, the application to include the student's college transcript from all prior years, and to include at least two recommendations from college instructors that have had the student in class.Criterion and consideration shall be as follows:Scholarship 45%Need 40%Preference (1) above 10%Preference (2) above 5%Preference (3) above 5%

Jack A & Marilyn MacAllister Foundation

Requirements: * Have at least a 2.5 grade point average; * Must be enrolled full time; * American Indian or Alaskan Native with proof of enrollment or descendancy; * Must have graduated or transferred from a tribal college; * Must be attending University of Nebraska – Omaha; * Must be majoring in education.

Chadron State College Scholarship

The Elizabeth & Bertha Braddock Memorial Scholarship is provided to help current college sophomores and Nebraska residents at Chadron State College to pay for their educational expenses. No minimum test scores is required to apply for this program. Your race, gender, and religion will not be considered for this award, nor will your age. As long as you are a good student at the university, you should be eligible to apply.
