Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program

You will be considered eligible to apply for a scholarship if you meet the following criteria: * You have been a resident of Madison County for 12 months prior to the date of application. * You will have graduated with a diploma from an accredited Indiana high school. * You intend to pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study at an accredited public or private 4-year college or university in Indiana. Final awards will be contingent upon notifying the Madison County Community Foundation of acceptance at an Indiana college or university no later than April 17. * You have never previously been enrolled in a post-secondary degree-granting program. Selection Process Selection of the scholarship recipients will be based on the following criteria: * Academic performance * Demonstrated leadership * Community Service * Character * Financial Need It is expected that the final recipient(s) will be in the top one-third of their graduating high school class. * Scholarship finalists will be interviewed by the Lilly Endowment Scholarship Selection Committee. The committee will select the recipient subject to the approval of the Boards of the Madison County Community Foundation and the South Madison Community Foundation. The committee reserves that right to resolve all questions or interpretations of the qualifications or basis of awards as herein stated. * All information will be kept confidential and reviewed only by the scholarship committee. * The scholarship will be paid directly to the bursar's office of the college or university selected by the student. * This is an equal opportunity scholarship. Determination of the recipient of the scholarship will not be based on the individual's sex, race, religion, color, physical abilities or national origin.
