Father Connie Dougherty Memorial Schp Fund
This scholarship became a part of the Community Foundation in late 1998. It honors a priest who was dedicated to the youth of Sarasota County. Any youth attending a Sarasota County school, public or private is eligible. The purpose of the scholarship is to further the student's education at college or through vocational training. It is not currently renewable.
Davis Educational Fund
The Davis Educational Fund offers scholarships to adult learners, men and women, who are residents of Sarasota County. It was established to help students obtain a college degree or vocational training to pursue a career in nursing or the medical field. A preference will be given to students who have been accepted into a health related program. Recipients will be selected on the basis of their financial need and on their educational objectives that will lead to a career in the health care field.

Giving primarily in Sarasota County, FL, and surrounding communities.
Youth Pioneer Award
This award is given open to graduating high school seniors who have show extraordinary leadership as a volunteer in a project or activity that has benefited our local community. Students must be Sarasota County residents from either public or private high schools. This is one $1,000 non-renewable scholarship.
Joe Turnesa Memorial Scholarship Fund
This fund was established in 1994 by the Greater Sarasota Junior Golf Association to provide scholarships to public and private high school seniors and first year college students who are members of the Junior Golf Association in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, and academic achievement. The scholarship is renewable.
