Virginia Bryant Shilstone Scholarship

Undergraduate or graduate member of chapters in Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Louisiana, or Arkansas.

Arkansas Society of CPAs Scholarship

The ASCPA Student Education Fund Board awards scholarships on the basis of academic achievement, professional promise, and the students commitment to pursuing accounting and the CPA credential. The process involves the completion of an application form, including grade transcripts, a resume, and letters of recommendation, as well as the accounting department chairpersons recommendation. Who is eligible for a Student Education Fund scholarship? Each accounting department of an Arkansas four-year college or university offering an accounting degree shall be allowed to submit one scholarship application for each qualifying faculty member who is a regular member in good standing of the Arkansas Society of CPAs. The accounting department may decide how to determine which applications are submitted. Accounting students who have completed 84 semester hours of coursework including 15 semester hours of accounting (including Principles), who have at least a 3.5 GPA (on a 4-point scale) in accounting coursework are eligible to apply. The applicant may be pursuing an undergraduate accounting degree (or its equivalent) or may have graduated and be completing additional coursework to accumulate 150 credit hours. The applicant must certify that he/she is pursuing the requirements to sit for the CPA Exam and does intend to pursue the CPA professional certification.

Activia Training Annual Scholarship Award

Activia Training are pleased to offer a $1,500 annual scholarship for college, university, high school or trade school students in the US. There is no specific course of study required, and you can use the money in whatever way that you feel benefits your studies the most. There will be two scholarship awards of $750 each year, awarded in November and May as follows: - The video winner will receive $500 - The essay format winner will receive $250 Furthermore, all entries adjudged to be of a suitable standard will be eligible for an “expenses award” as follows: - YouTube videos: $20 - Blog articles: $15 To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be at least 16 years of age and attending, or have secured a place, at a college, university, high school or trade school in the US. SelectSpace Scholarship

Selectspace scholarship At SelectSpace Partitions, we are proud to offer a scholarship program for students in the process of pursuing a college degree. The awarded student will receive $500 to be used towards expenses for his or her degree. Who may apply? U.S. citizens accepted to or currently attending a college or university within the United States. The winner will be required to provide proof of acceptance to your college or university, or a college transcript. Deadline: Applications must be submitted via the web form by November 30. Next Steps: The award recipient will be notified of the selection on or around December 31. The scholarship award is to be used exclusively for school tuition or related expenses. A check for $500 will be made payable to the award recipient’s college or university. The recipient is expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.

For the 2019 award, we have doubled the value to $1000 to further our support of students and their education. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. A specific major is not required for this award, but the applicant should have above a 2.4 Grade Point Average.

AT&T Foundation Scholarship

Single Parent Scholarships

The purpose of our Single Parent Scholarships is to provide supplemental financial assistance to those single parents living in Arkansas who are pursuing a course of instruction that will improve their income-earning potential.In most cases, scholarships may be used for tuition, books, utility bills, car maintenance, childcare, or any other financial need that contributes to the recipients' success in school. However, the guidelines for the manner in which the scholarship may be used are at the discretion of each scholarship provider.The standard eligibility criteria adopted by all Single Parent Scholarships throughout Arkansas are: * Eligible applicants are single parents living in Arkansas who are considered economically disadvantaged and who have custodial care of one or more children under the age of eighteen. * Eligible applicants are those who have not previously earned a diploma or degree from a four-year institution of higher learning.*Other guidelines vary from county to county and may include only approved programs of study, approved schools, income level, marital status, grade point average, and eligibility for federal financial aid.

El Dorado Promise Scholarship

The El Dorado Promise is a unique scholarship program established and funded by Murphy Oil Corporation. The Promise provides graduates of El Dorado High School with a scholarship covering tuition and mandatory fees that can be used at any accredited two- or four-year, public or private educational institution in the US. The maximum amount payable is up to the highest annual resident tuition at an Arkansas public university.

Markley Scholarship

The former NACA South Central region established the Markley Scholarship in 1983. The scholarship is named for Larry Markley, the acknowledged founder of the former NACA South Central Region. The scholarship is to be used for educational purposes, such as tuition, fees and books. The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize and honor involved students who have made significant contributions to the NACA Central Region and are located in the former NACA South Central Region. Up to two scholarships may be awarded annually. DEADLINE: Materials must be submitted online by Sept. 1. CRITERIA: A committee will select individuals who meet the following criteria: * Are strongly involved in and contribute to NACA Central * Demonstrate continued potential in the field of student activities * Are involved in and contribute to the field of student activities and/or student activities employment * Are involved in and contribute to other organizations * Are classified as a junior, senior or graduate student at a four-year school in the former NACA South Central Region (AR, LA, NM, OK and TX), or are classified as a sophomore at a two-year school in the former NACA South Central Region * Have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative grade point average * You must be a U.S. Citizen * High school students are not eligible.

Kids’ Chance of Arkansas

Kids’ Chance of Arkansas is a program designed to provide scholarships to dependent children of workers who have beenkilled or become permanently and totally disabled from a compensable Arkansas workers’ compensation injury or accident. Theinjury or death of the parent must have resulted in a decrease in family earnings, which creates an impediment to the continuationof the applicant’s education.BASIC APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:• Be at least sixteen years of age and no older than twenty-two years of age at the time of application• Demonstrate good academic achievement and aptitude• Be eligible for high school or post-secondary program and applied for entrance

We are pleased to be offering a $1500 nursing scholarship to high-achieving students who are committed to elderly care and pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. Our hope is to further their professional development and continued competence, allowing them to improve the quality of life for seniors at nursing homes.
